Drop Down Beds

For those that have sailed in rooms with the beds that drop down from the ceiling. Once the bed is brought down the first night does it stay down the rest of the week? Thanks you in advance for your help.

Our room steward on the Breakaway would "fold" it back up when she would come around in the morning (magically when we were usually eating an early breakfast) and set it up as well as the sofa when they would turn down the rooms for the night. I suppose if you want it left down, all you would need to do would be to leave a note or ask your steward to leave it down and I'm certain they would. We had a balcony room, and I wouldn't want it left down because it makes it very difficult to utilize the sofa beneath to sit on. In an inside cabin, you would not be able to sit on the bed for the most part if the bed were left down.

Hope this helps!

Also, it is very easy to bring it down and put it back up yourself if you ever need to.

Never tried that but I would think your room steward would love to teach you. Makes one less thing he/she knows they have to do possibly giving them time to fill someone else's special request.
