I know they do have a self serve soft ice cream machine next to the buffet up at The One Bar Cruiser.

I'm going to try and bring a bottle or two of Zing Zang Bloody Mary mix onboard. I was told by one of the bartenders, that a couple who sailed before us, had brought on their favorite mix and they kept it in their bar refrigerator for them. We shall see if I have any luck. I didn't care for the Bloody Mary I ordered onboard, but I understand they try and make do with whatever they have to work with,,not the bartenders fault!!

Sure hope it works out for you. You are so right - not the bartenders fault. They have to work with what they are provided. But they always try to please and with a smile.

I have been booked on a chartered cruise for a 4 day cruise (free) just before the one I had booked for 10 days so can't wait for those 14 days to get here. Will be "downtown" in the regular part of the ship first then move up to the YC for the next part. :)

Could you report on the de facto dress code in "le muse" ?

Thank you - I'm looking forward to reading your review !!!!!:o

I sure will Plucasana!!! On our sailing back in May, I wore a linen button down shirt, with linen pants and a "dressier" sneaker for the two nights we were onboard. My girlfriend wore a nice blouse with a long skirt and dressy sandals. For most nights, the dress is very casual in LeMuse,,you will see those who like to wear a suite or dress to dinner, but for the most part, everyone dressed in cruise casual attire. We will have two Gala nights, which we didn't have when we sailed our first time, so I'll report back with what we encountered.:)

Yep!! Paying for only the port taxes and fees. Will be on deck 10.

Good For You Cruiser!!! We won a runner up prize, $2,000.00 off the balcony rate. Just had to pay $798.00. I figured we could do one of the balcony specials right now for $329.00 and sail an extra 3 days, so we passed. Still hoping to get our name drawn in one of the few remaing drawings though!!!;)

The reason we accepted our prize was because it tied right into the next one. Total for us was 580. Had choice of inside (less) or balcony. It sounds like a fun time to be on the ship.

You'll definitely have a lot of music venues to choose from. I've seen some videos of the Moody Blues Cruise and the Monsters Of Rock,,,they set up a stage in the Aqua Park,,,I'm sure you're going to have a blast!!! After all,,,you are on a cruise ship right???

On both of our past cruises in the YC, it seemed the Europeans dressed a little more dressier than the rest of us. Our guys wore short or long sleeved shirts with nice slacks for causal nights and dark suits/tie on formal. Most of the ladies liked to dress up more than the men and it was fun "people watching" each night. During breakfast and lunch, it was much more casual.

BTW, it was also fun watching people at the Garden Pool. We could see them but they couldn't see us!! Some funny stuff!!

Right!!!! We figure that if we don't want to listen to the shows/venues, we can retreat to our balcony. And yes, I was told the stage will be in the Aqua Park area. We are excited to be a part of this cruise. Will be something different from all past cruises. The very first cruise we were on was a Country/Western one. We didn't know at the time of booking. George Jones and his crew plus about 4 other well known performers were on board. But there wasn't music all day long. It was really special to be able to interact with them when they were not performing.

So funny watching people hold their heads to the window trying to look inside,,,not so funny when their doing it in front of the table you are sitting at though!!! But, in good fun,,we just make faces at them.:D

I know my girlfriend would love to go,,we both love to experience different cultures and traditions. This is why we love sailing on Divina,,so many people from all over the world to talk to and learn from,,,such a difference from sailing aboard one of the American lines.

Our first sailing aboard Divina was in the Yacht Club, and after our experience there,, we will never sail anywhere else on the ship. It really is an amazing experience, one that I'm sure will leave a lasting impression with those sailing for their first time. You definitely made a great choice for yourself, and all of those traveling in your party.:)

Mike I'm so excited that your cruise is around the corner, but also kinda glad that ours is further away, coz when yours is over, mine will still be around the corner......:D

However, I horribly jealous that you have so many more booked in the near future........brat............anyway.........I just read that they don't have bar servers in the casino................I can only follow that with I will likely lose less money:D....so maybe it's a therapy kinda thing..........what you gamble and drink............that can't be a good thing.......oh dear........oh well when you are onboard I wonder if you notice if sometimes the waiters may venture in...........if you go to the casino of course..........I'm hoping greasing some palms with a few $$$ might encourage one to wander on over to the roulette table occasionally............

You have to know that while growing up in the land down under, although Vegemite was quite a staple on toast...............NUTELLA was by far my favourite............now as I am trying to age gracefully (it's a chore)....yummy foods like Nutella can't possibly pass my lips without finding space in lower extremities that I can't afford to allow to happen, but nutella crepes sound heavenly..........I just might have to indulge....but that would require giving up some alcoholic beverage, because that's where I spend my calories............oh dear I just realized I almost wrote a dissertation..........

Love the question Maureen!!!! Our little nephew is addicted to Nutella, so once he sees the Nutella stand,,he won't stop talking about it until he gets some. I'm sure this will be one of the very first questions I get an answer for Maureen.

It was on sale at my store last week, I bought three jars. :o Hey, check the hours for the crepes, as well, would you? :D

The One Bar is our first stop once we drop off our things in our stateroom!!;);)

And your second stop.....

Just thought of another thing I've been wondering about.

On other cruise lines I've been able to write in items on the breakfast room service request and actually get those items (hit 'n miss). Example: write in "bacon" or "2 scrambled eggs". Also, I've been able to phone for room service breakfast and had them pretty much willing to add anything they could grab that they're cooking for breakfast already, not just what's listed on the room service breakfast tag. Anyway you could check if this is doable on the Divina, please? I know you're in YC but maybe some slum-dog could verify for you (if you're willing to associate, that is). :p

Thanks again!

Trish

You see Aussie,,,you didn't get the whole story about the bar service in the casino. There is bar service at the tables, just not the slots,,,seemed the more I started to win playing blackjack,,the more often the server came by to take my order;);)

Instead of the Nutella crepes Aussie,,grab some gelato, and see if the kitchen can warm you up some Nutella in the microwave and pour it over your gelato like chocolate syrup!!! Go big or go home I always say!!!

Of course I can do this for you Trish. Our cousins are staying right below us in 12006 so I'll try phoning the order from their room.
