Casino Program Changes

Recommended Posts

Now that this is March, any news?

No, and talking with Club Royale provides no enlightenment.

I'll be sailing in a week and a half, and I was told that I may be finding out about the new program around that time. She wasn't very confident about it, though.

I always Tip the the Cashier and the Host in Cash. They all work so hard and always have a smile for you when your in the casino

I tip the dealers and often bet for the dealer as well. It's fun, especially when they win. Last 3 cruises, my bets for the dealer won 8 times!

I just booked June 3,2017 Norway cruise. Casino rate for D-1 was $1,200 less than the reg 30% off sale. Now waiting to see what my rebate is from last weekends sailing. If it's large enough, I may upgrade to a JS, which is $1,800 below the reg sale price

We like to play Blackjack when in the casino. We heard by way of a temporary host that certain ships may be getting new blackjack table configurations along with different sets of rules, i.e. available surrender option and no more side bets (lucky ladies).

Can anyone confirm?

I'd be happy with that. I never play the sucker bets and every now and then it's nice to have a bail option!

Just managed a fare reduction (new booking) on the Oasis next year in a Royal Loft Suite... it was nearly 50% off the brochure rate, so that was a HUGE savings!

I'm rather pleased at this point that the new program has not been implemented, as at least I've locked in a great rate. I kind of doubt that whatever tier status they assign me will earn a better deal... and I'm not sure I'd want to bring it to their attention !!

Holy cow! 50% off in a Royal Loft? That's gonna be amazing.

Yep - hearing those numbers sealed the deal! I had an Aqua Theater Suite booked on the Harmony for the same week (really wanted to give one of those a try, and see the Harmony too), but this was too good to pass up. :)

I hope that I don't donate enough to give up my savings!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Just as we all suspected- NADA. No info on new program. One thing I was told yesterday is no more cash rebates earned as of today. Of course - there are still comp cruises and casino free play or fake chips at the cage...so in essence nothing's changed YET.. Other than our play now counts toward the "new" system.

In 2 days I sail. I will probably quit after the 1st day if I'm up nicely and just keep my winnings since there's no incentive to keep playing. I can't use anymore free cruises cause I'm already maxed out for 2016 cruises lol.

This situation really makes. Club Royale look weak..and it's making us loyal members uneasy and ready to jump ship. That's the sentiment I conveyed to 2 differnt CR reps last night. Oh well

Have not received any emails relating to CR new program 😞 I asked the Casino Host on Anthem today and she has no additional information on CR new program.

Linda,

We have received no emails either, which were supposed to be mailed out yesterday.

None of the Hosts on Allure yesterday evening had received any update.

So we are in the dark still.

Those quick hits have been not so good to us,

But overall we are doing ok.

Might start using our money tomorrow or day after. Got to love the OBC and playing in the Casino with others money😀

Hope Anthem treats you well,

St Thomas for us today

Sorry about those Quick Hits 😒 Do you see anyone winning on them? They say you have to be at the right machine at the right time.

I'm having some good nights on the slots, but no hand pays ""yet "" 😞

Enjoy the rest of your cruise, talk to you soon 😀

No emails at this moment and I asked the casino Host again today, still no news. I am calling CR upon my return this weekend.

We are going to hit the quick hits on last 2 days, see if they loosen up even a little

Hopefully the big win is coming for you;)

Be lucky

Most I have seen anyone win is $590 on the slots

Not heard one announcement of a jackpot winner

So, I thought I would share Club Royale's response to my questions about the "new" program:

Dear Mr. ,

The rebate program has now been officially phased out and guests are no longer able to earn them. For the interim between now and when our new player program is unveiled, we have recently introduced exclusive promotions and further expanded on where you can earn other rewards instead, such as the possibility of future cruise comps and deep cruise fare discounts - just as you have come to know and love through the years. These offers will be based upon your onboard play, similar to the current program. Shipboard casino points may still be earned and redeemed for prizes, such as gifts from the cashier’s cage, etc.

We continue to review the details of our new player program to ensure we are rewarding our valued casino guest appropriately and to ensure that our offers continue to be beneficial to them. While we do not yet have the specifics of the upcoming and highly anticipated new program, we expect to be able to share those details with you soon.

If you have any questions or if we can assist you with a reservation, please feel free to contact us at 1-888-561-2234. We are available 8:00am to 10:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday; and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Eastern Time on weekends. You can also reach us by email at ClubRoyale@rccl.com.

Thank you for choosing Club Royale!

I hope so too but doubt it

The new program is still being ironed out, but I think it gives less incentive for the top and 2nd tier players to spend time in the casino. With Rebates gone, there's no more large incentive to keep playing if you're losing in the casino, or winning for that matter. Now, EVERYONE who has ever placed one spin or bet will get SOME kinda "offer", albeit the lowest offers will be $5.00 match play certs. for each person in the cabin.

One good news for slots players, Max, host on SR, said the slot points of 3,500 used to get an inside cabin is now being lowered to 2,400 points!

Otherwise, the program will be set up like M Life. Everyone in the same tier will get the same benefits when booking a cruise. Example- if tier levels are called Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, the % cruise discount increases as you go up the levels and Also the OBC would be a set amount and higher as you go up the tiers. It's kinda being set up like Crown and Anchor levels...each level up gets previous benefits PLUS the added ones for that tier.

Gone are the days of $5,000 rebates based on last cruise. Now it's a set amount and given as casino free play or OBC.

The unknowns are what exact benefits and where we are all placed. Everyone will now be tracked using their C&A numbers so make sure your emails for C&A are up to date. Gone will be the old Player Numbers.

There will be 8 tiers of Cruise Certs and they are being determined based on play on each specific sailing and Max told me how much you lose is a factor. Well does that mean if you play big and win, you don't get a free cruise??!? I don't know the answer to that:

I got a free OV cert. so I will find out today if I can apply it as payment toward a 2017 cruise I already booked (as $750 payment).
