After reading another thread I'm totally confused...

Are the casinos only CASH? We can't use our room key? If only cash how do you collect your winnings

Don't know about using room key.

We always use cash.....cash at table =. Chips......cash into slot machine = credits...

Winnings....receive chips from tables, take to casino cashier for cash...

Receive ticket from slot machine, take to cashier or bill dispensing machine for cash ...

You can use your onboard account to withdraw cash at tables and your room key to charge to your onboard account at the slots. There is a fee to withdraw cash using your onboard account. I believe it's 3.5%.

You will get a "ticket" for your winnings (if there are any!)...and you can cash out at the casino teller window...they will hand you cash. Put it in your safe.

I think you are referring to some cruise lines where your 'sign and sail' card can also be used in the casino - and funds withdrawn from your onboard account.

 

I don't believe this is the case on NCL - and you will need to get a separate 'casino card' if you wish to join their players club? And credit go onto that card and NOT onto your 'other' key card....

 

Yes you need cash unless you are okay with the additional charge as indicated.

Casino operates in dollars.

As explained in previous post, you can go to casino cashier and sign for cash which will be charged on your sail card So, if you have OBC that can off set it .. BUT there is a % charge for doing that

You can sign up for a line of credit in advance. You then have the funds available, without being any fees.
