Hello, all! Not an original, but we first sailed 10/19/01, so I joined the board a few months before that. I remember Oaktown's fashion accounts, sausage thingees, and frozen thingees, too. I check in occasionally, but haven't cruised again. Hubby retired yesterday, so maybe... Nice to hear from everyone again.

Whew...I thought this thread would never come.

I visited a few weeks back but that fizzled...you would be proud of me I did not fight or get fought or put on time out.

Guess I grew up a little over these years.

Sooooo many of you are here I really want to cry!

Mariposa, thanks for the notice. I had taken this board off my favorites AGAIN after not much came of a few weeks ago...

Years ago...in the beginning, I remember lurking and when that picture of that silver shoe was posted on the overplanning thread I nearly peed my pants like so many of you.

The topics since we "disbanded" have left me bored to tears. I rarely visit but maybe that will change.

For those of you going "huh"? How can they be so close? you just have no idea...

Some of us like and have eaten at the same local restaurants...remember Guaymus in Tiburon?

Our Host told you about the flowers..had I been in the loop I would have pitched in just like that.

On a bleaker note one of my VERY best friends came down with breast cancer and ALL ladies on this board nursed me and supported me through that tough and terrible time. A small world got REAL small..my friend was buried in Livermore where one of the Cruise Sisters lives.

We have shared Christmas, The Kentucky Derby, boyfriends, tales of our husbands and hasbeens, tears,laughter and all that goes with the lives that we live.

We have fought like sisters over...clothes, jewelry, make-up etc. and we have loved over fashion, home made jewelry, make-up and more.

This is only the short list.

I'll stop for now. Hopefully we will build something where we can share On Topic and Off Topic.

My darling son is a senior so that is my full time job for May and June...it's all good and the stories I could share...Laugh!

I really do love each and every one of you and I miss what we had.

Hey Oaktown, glad to see you got the heads up. BTW, I added to your thread, go peek. You know, when I look at your initials OT, I laugh cuz you and I seem to be the most infamous OT gals here. LOL LOL Enjoy those last couple weeks of your son's high school years. But FYI, they sure can get expensive with the Ring, Senior trips, Senior ball with the formal attire, limo, etc. To say nothing of the beginning of the dreaded college tuition routine. No more clothes for Mom till Son gets himself graduated. LOL LOL

Lill, hope your new job is a great one for you and your new boss is understanding. Deb, so ~~ you are now a lady of leisure, it's about time. Glad to see you have enjoyed so many cruises since that first one. Sushi, how is that back of yours doing?
Rox, hope hubby is still feeling well and you are thoroughly spoiling the grandchild. Has banking been kind to you? Lori, sorry about the surgery. Hopefully your daughter is a big helper for you and has been an eagle eye over her brother. LOL If the thread was available for me to read as I post this I'm sure I would have a few more specific greetings for my other Fashion Sisters. You know what they say about the memory, CRS.

I'm doing fine, home business, plus working part time at a fun Craft and Fabric store. I get to talk OT to lots of customers now. LOL LOL LOL

Anyone ever hear of the Red Hat Society? Do a Google search on it. I always think of this wild and crazy group whenever I see the stuff they sell ~ red hats, purple and red BOAS, tote bags for those great trips, etc. Yep, that's our gang, still out to have fun wherever they can find it.

I think the red hat society that OT mentioned would be a blast to belong to. Girls just want to have fun. We were in Myrtle Beach last fall and saw a group of ladies in purple and red hats they looked like they were having the times of their lives.

Mother's Day was a good one. I spent it with my family in a quiet, peaceful canyon without any modern conveniences. Fashion for the day was daytime cruisewear of the sturdy type! LOL

Should any of us be able to get together again, you can count on more threads like "The Eagle Has Landed!" Since the ET cruise, my DH and I have cruised again with Linda, Rox and their hubbies. There was lots of time spent catching up while sipping on our drink of choice, steak dinners that shouldn't have been ordered by stubborn men, and ice cream concoctions delivered to the wrong Sister. I've been here from the very begining too! I remember when they moved our thread cause it got too big!! I also remember all the great support I received on a pair of Pink shoes that I bought. LOL
I kinda go MIA between cruises. It just depresses me too much to be here, LOL. Hope everyone is doing great. I'm getting ready for #6.

I think I came after the original bunch...I wrote a day by day diary account of my last cruise in February prior to my principal's conference in Orlando...afterwards, I had to change my name! Ha Ha Ha!

The October 2005 cruise sounds like a possibility for me since it is during one of the week's I usually cruise. I like that the cruise theme is already selected! Who is currently going?

I am still dancing (heading to Montreal this weekend) and although I have a new pair of black dress sandals that I can really dance in, I still wear my old black ones when I know I am going to be on the dance floor all night!

I miss all of you and it is great to read your comments!
