seagulls, Patgo, Beth . . . I won't disagree with you on that. It is just different than it was when we were all regulars. Maybe we can turn it around!

Hstrybf, My last cruise was a "solo" one last February. I had sailed NCL so much that I went on RCI's Sovereign of the Seas. The theme was "I am out of town and nobobdy knows me!" I wrote a day by day diary account (on the RCI board) and decided to change my name when done! It is under Coka-4-oh and you can find it in the search portion of RCI. Hehehe!

It is great to hear from everyone!

Well, shoot! The search feature isn't working again, but I'll keep trying. My last few cruises have been with people I know, but when going with a bunch of unknowns, my theme is "I'm on vacation and I'll never see these people again!" Be careful. I find lately that the world is getting smaller and people are all connected in someway. It seems if you talk to someone long enough there is some kind of connection. LOL

Actually, I have my cruise wardrobe set aside for just that purpose and don't wear it anywhere else. Occasionally I'll let my tee shirt hang out, but for the most part, my Cruise Sisters have brought me up right!

That is for sure! I am in the Sovereign's movie theater in the back row end seat. I am talking with a group of retirees from Florida...soon we find out that one's younger sister works with my older sister in my local hospital's operating room! Another example, I am with a group of friends/family in a nightclub in Montreal last weekend. A group of gals are walking by behind us and I hear, "OH my god, there is Mrs. My-Name!" It was either current students or former students...I did not turn around to look. We left immediately and I hoped they did not see us dancing on top the giant bass speaker five minutes prior...Lessons learned!

ROFL!! I would have loved to have seen that! I hope you had your good black dancing shoes on or did they make you go barefoot? When I was MUCH younger, I was known to dance on tables once in a great while. These days, I could get up there, but not so sure I could get down without breaking something.

I am reminded of the last time I tried to dance on a table it was at Margaritaville in Orlando at Universal Studios. Well when we tried to get on the table it was the pedastal type and quickly tipped over. We were lucky we were very relaxed.

After that incident I found people at the next table that knew my family from the town I grew up in. That was just a couple of years ago. The kids wanted to go on a few more rides all teenagers so the adults went for our own adventure. It surely was a good time even after the kids joined us. You never know who you will run into but it makes life very interesting. the kids tell the story and always say remember when you guys drank brain darts (shots of tequilla) We all try to retain our youth. LOL

You ladies are wild! I have never danced on top of a table...yet! Only speakers, stages, dance floors and the three levels at Carlos and Charlies in Cozumel! Now I think I am missing something!

I wore "the" black sandals all during that day...so I was wearing my dressier sandals that I still dance pretty good in!

Your stories are too funny!

I've never danced on top of a table. But being a Canadian, I have danced on top of the boards surrounding a hockey rink during Oktoberfest after several too many jugs of beer.

Thanks Lill. This must be a new record for how far away the cruise is. That's a lot of numbers.

I'm not an original on this site nor even a regular but I like to read what you all have to say. The dancing on speakers brought a HUGE smile to my face. Last year for our 40th birthdays a group of girlfriends and I went to Las Vegas and celebrated by dancing on the bar at Coyote Ugly's. Now that was something else. It is just like the movie!!!

Carry on with your adventures. I think we all like to hear about them.

So glad everyone is dropping by again. I lurked often and remember the overpacking, sausage thingee and shoebag threads so well. I think the Eagle has landed was my favorite.

Have just sent my sausage thingee to the thrift shop. Darn thing never would stay up which led to some interesting moments of near exposure.

Just beginning to plan my wardrobe for our 7 day Carib cruise in Dec. Do you think I have time enough to get everything bought and organized?

Having bunion and hammertoe repair this summer so will finally have feet I can flaunt in sandals!! Shoe shopping, oh the joy!!

Daughter, 25 y/0, had bunion repair last June and is just now getting to the point where the scar is not nasty looking and the foot does not swell up every other day. I suspect you will still be in a shoe that gives good support (walking/good gym) for this cruise. Do not be disappointed, the next one will be fine.

Actually, at just one month out from my first bunion-hammertoe surgery, the scabs have fallen off and the scars don't look too bad. My foot is still too swollen to wear my normal walking shoe and doc still wants me in the lovely post-op sandal for another week and a half. He says that by the end of next month I should be pretty well back to normal.

I have some nice SAS sandals with buckled straps which I will be able to adjust if my feet swell, and some very comfortable SAS walking shoes so hopefully will be okay.

I'm planning to have the other foot done in July. Our cruise is not till December so hopefully I'll be fine by then.

Hi girls! Just another "oldie" checking in! I loved all the great discriptions of Oaktown...from shoes to luggage and even wine! Those were the days!
