We did this cruise or similar) a few years ago on the Ocean Princess. We loved it. Unless you are on the Ocean or Pacific Princess, the port will be far from the city for some stops. Shanghai, HCM City and Taipei are long bus rides away. I think HK is also a ways from the port. If you are on the Ocean Princess, the ship docks in downtown for HK and Shanghai. In HK we were at the foot of Kowloon, right next to the Star Ferry terminal. In Shanghai we were on the Bund across from the Pudong.

We did an Asia cruise on Princess several years ago, and have another one planned in January. We enjoyed both Asia and Princess very much.
