Weve booked a Norway cruise from Copenhagen next May

 

will stay at a city centre hotel night before cruise

 

is it easy to get from

 

airport to city centre

 

city centre to cruise port

 

cruise port to airport

 

cruiseline transfers are available at extra cost but would it be easier doing our own thing?

If you have the pier number (or name) and dates it will be more easy to help you because some public transportation is limited in weekends and public holidays.

we fly into Copenhagen mid day Tuesday 19 May and cruise departs next day

return Wed 27 May and fly back that same day

 

I don't know pier but will be on Norwegian Star if that helps

 

just an extra note husband cant walk long distances hence obsessive pre planning rather than winging it on the day:D

We sailed out of Copenhagen in Sept this year. It was very easy getting out of the airport and getting a cab to take us to our hotel. No problems getting a cab to the pier.

Transportation from airport to downtown depends on where your hotel is located.

 

 

If its in the area around Tivoli its better to take the train but if your hotel is located near the waterfront at Nyhavn etc its better to take the metro to Kongens Nytorv.

 

 

Bus 26 goes to the cruise terminal (Færgehavn Nord UNICEF) 2 times every hour from both the central station and KOngens Nytorv.

 

 

Bus 26 will go at least XX:14 an XX:54 from the cruise terminal towards Ålholm Plads and get off at Østerport and if hey do it like this year they will have some shuttle busses between the cruise terminal an Østerport station.

 

From Østerport you can get to the airport every 10th minute with the Øresundstog.

TA has booked us into Adina Aparthotel for night before cruise-it's on Amerika plads apparently close to cruise terminal so need to get there from airport and then on to cruiseport on the Wednesday

 

will probably get taxi direct from cruiseport to airport following Wednesday as have 2pm flight -I assume taxis are plentiful at disembarkation?

I have stayed at the adina it is a lovely place but a little limited on nearby restaurants. When we stayed we got a pizza from the place acrosd the road and took it back to the apartments

You have 2 options from the airport.

 

 

1) From the airport you take the airport train towards Nivå or Helsingør.

 

Get off at Østerport station

 

Either you walk to your hotel

Or take bus 26 towards Førgehavn Nord-UNICEF, Færgehavn Nord or Søndre Frihavn.

 

 

If you take the 2 departures to Færgehavn Nord you will get off at Pakhusvej and if you take the one to Søndre Havn you will get off at Søndre Frihavn but its a 100 metre longer walk compared to Pakhusvej.

Or you take metro line M2 and get off at Kongens Nytorv, from here you take the same busses.

 

 

 

From your hotel just walk to the bus stop at Pakhusvej and take bus 26 towards Færgehavn Nord UNICEF at XX:32 or XX:52 and 10 minutes later you are at the UNICEF bus stop thats located at Oceankaj.

 

 

 

 

From the cruise pier to the airport you simply just take bus 26 towards Ålholm Plads and get off at Østerport Station.

 

 

From here you take the Øresund train to the airport.

and to nmg85 for your endorsement of Adina hotel-was going to book own hotel but TA came up with flights and hotel deal cheaper than could have got myself[and convenient named flights]
