RJB Posted December 5, 2014 #27 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Never had that problem at Terminal J must be the other terminals you fly from ;) Lucky you, the exception rather than the rule. Only time we will fly from Mia is when we get a direct overseas flight. Better than changing planes. Still hate Mia with a passion. :p:p:p

JimandStan Posted December 5, 2014 #29 Share Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) And best of all, my travel agent who is in Delray Beach has offered to pick us up at the hotel on Sunday morning and drive us to the port! Does anyone remember when FDR gave that woman from this Board, who he didnt otherwise know from Adam, a lift from the Ship to the airport, personally? (((Sigh))) ....those were "the days", and we weren't smart enough to realize it- Edited December 5, 2014 by JimandStan

edgee Posted December 6, 2014 #32 Share Posted December 6, 2014 We prefer the more expensive, but stress free approach. No trailers, no waiting for others to fill a van. We used Larry's limos this morning. Disembarked the Regatta in Miami at 8:15 and were through security at our gate at Fort Lauderdale airport 55 minutes later at 9:10. Price was $105 for two of us, but considering the cost of an Oceania cruise we view it as a small incremental additional cost to pay for convenience. hondorner Posted December 6, 2014 #33 Share Posted December 6, 2014 Does anyone remember when FDR gave that woman from this Board, who he didnt otherwise know from Adam, a lift from the Ship to the airport, personally? (((Sigh))) ....those were "the days", and we weren't smart enough to realize it- As I recall, he made the offer to the woman before her cruise. She doubted it, and asked who he was, and even after learning he was indeed the chief CEO, she still had concerns. At the end of the cruise, with FDR near his parked Land Rover and holding a sign with her name, he learned she had booked another service and took that to the airport. So, he went over to the line waiting for cabs and took the next couple in line, and even gave them a mini-tour of South Beach on the way! And, who knows, it could happen again -- if a good looking guy in a Blue Land Rover offers you a ride, grab it!
