I booked a cruise through CAS on Monday, do you get the promotions when NCL is running specials on CAS booked cruises? If so I guess I booked a day early.

Yep. I booked last week through CAS and canceled yesterday and rebooked to get the sale. Call you PCC back and ask. However did u book an oceanview or above? Inside and studio don't count.

I have seen people share they did and others that did not.

I think there are a few variables,such as:

* size of discount you get for the cabin in the first place

* type of promo going on

* past play

* ship selling well, or not so well.

Also, if you are getting a comped cabin the promo is for the cabin that you are comped even if you upgrade to a higher level cabin.

So, if you are comped a balcony cabin, but upgrade to a suite, any promo you receive is based on a balcony level cabin.

I have two upcoming Mediterranean cruises in July booked with CAS. 14 days from Barcelona, then a"layover" in Venice for 5 days and then 7 days from Venice. Family of 4 (2 adult children). While I generally get a "comped" cabin for the traditional 7 day Caribbean cruises, these aren't comped, but are discounted through CAS (European sailings generally require a higher level of play than I have to be fully comped). Called yesterday to "rebook" both. The new price was higher than I was paying, but…. for about $16 more per person per day (4 of us) we added the UDP and the UBP for both cruises. If I had paid for this without the special (which I wouldn't have…), the total cost for both UDP and UBP would be more than $6,000 for the two cruises. Also, even though all 4 of us get the casino drink card, I am very much looking forward to having a drink whenever and where ever I'd like on the ship. Very happy with this promo!

Booked two B2B cruises on the Jade (Mediterranean) through CAS. The comp is for balcony/mini suite. Was able to book under the current promotion. Chose the UBP and OBC. Will have enough specialty dinners through the tier level and Platinum status, especially for such port intensive itineraries.

This really is a fabulous deal, especially for CAS bookings. I think I should be looking at where I want to be cruising after May.

Yes, this is true. I always get comped a mini-suite but opt for an aft facing balcony which is more $ than the mini. When a special is involved I always get what a balcony gets, not the mini. It is a little unfair the way CAS handles this. If you are comped an inside and upgrade, you get the inside specials, but get comped a mini and downgrade to a lower cat at a higher price and you get the lower cat specials. I am not complaining, heck I get an aft balcony for $300 it is just a little sneaky though.

Good deal for some but not for me. I have a suite booked with a discount which was a better deal than upgrading from an OV comp. The price has gone up so much since I booked 6 months ago that it would cost me more to switch.

That must mean you have a great deal already! Hope you enjoy your cruise!!

Had aft booked for March when I saw this Called and got UBP added ,same room, no change in price. Think its because oil prices are so low and this is instead of lowering prices ???? Either way, I too am happy, happy happy!

I had a CAS comped balcony on Epic on the 8/16/15 sailing from Barcelona that I upgraded to a Haven Aft Facing suite (only because it is our honeymoon!). Booked it last week. Called today and they added the free UBP and OBC to the existing reservation in 30 seconds. Easy as pie.

Just a reminder to anyone calling CAS to add promos to reservations....Tell rep not to lose your room while they cancel and rebook. I called last month to add onboard credit promo and they cancelled my room and rebooked me into another less desirable location. I was not a happy camper. I had my aft balcony chosen for months.
