wally_bushy Posted January 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2015 One thing we have never done is B2B cruises. Is it just a case of searching for the combination or do TAs and cruise lines have special promotions.
sitraveler Posted January 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Without getting too complicated, Oceania arranged B2B cruises are called "Grand Voyages." GV's are specially priced. If you look at the ship's schedule and want 2 (or more) consecutive trips, that would involve special pricing, but that pricing is spelled out in the O brochures. But, you are an Australian, and as you know the whole situation is different due to ????
bitob Posted January 13, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Not every b2b is a grand voyage You can put two shorter cruises together too. Those are not grand voyages You have to look at the schedule and figure it out Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Floridiana Posted January 13, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2015 One thing we have never done is B2B cruises. Is it just a case of searching for the combination or do TAs and cruise lines have special promotions. We did it several times by combining two 10/14 day cruises. Once our TA got us a good deal on the second leg, but in the other b2bs, no good deals were available. I guess it depends on the popularity of the itinerary and timing. arima22 Posted January 13, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2015 There are times when Oceania will send a message to your TA or to you offering a discounted price on a cruise just before or just after your cruise. However, too often it is after air and hotels have already been arranged for your original cruise (on a deviation). Maybe that's another reason they don't do the final air tickets until 30 days out....allowing you to change for a B2B.
no fuss travel Posted January 13, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 13, 2015 We booked a B2B on the Nautica for this upcoming February. The first part is sailing from Singapore to Hong Kong and the second part is sailing from Hong Kong to Beijing. When you book the B2B, they make adjustments for the fact if airfare is included that you do not have to pay the return airfare from from the first cruise and airfare to the next cruise. The best way to find B2B is to find an area you want to cruise to, try one cruise ship only (i.e. Riviera) and find out what the B2B cruises are available. marilynfaye Posted January 13, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2015 To repeat SITRAVELER, pricing may be different in Australia, but booking a B2B saves you 5% off each leg. This is true even if you don't use O's air.

Westaussie Posted January 14, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) We are doing two sectors of July world cruise on Insignia, Montreal/Southampton/Barcelona booked with agent in Perth and yes, we did get the b2b discount. When looking some on-line agents list consecutive cruises when you key in the months you are interested in. PS doing my own air so even that doesn't come into it as suggested in a previous post Edited January 14, 2015 by Westaussie
