If you have been on the Caribbean Princess within this past year, would you mind giving me (yes I know this is YOUR opinion) your pros/cons of this ship? We are thinking about cruising on it, the end of March, or the first part of April.

I'm going on the Caribbean Princess next week. Our last cruise was the Royal Princess and I have to say I like the older ships set ups better. The Promenade deck you can walk around the entire ship and the buffet is set up better. I can't wait!

Everything that Redhead75 said and more.

No where near the amount of people as the Regal or Royal.

Better show lounge than the big ships.

TV's that can be used for video's.

Shorter walks with stairs that can be used mid ship.

Indoor pool.

Caribbean Princess has an indoor pool? It's been a few years since we sailed on her. Is my memory failing?

Just off the CB a couple weeks ago. I've recently cruised Oasis, Allure, and Disney Fantasy (all phenomenal ships). This was my first Princess cruise. Had a blast. The ship seems slightly dated but enjoyed every minute I was on her.

....and Sabatini's, Crown Grill? Just amazing. If you're on the fence, don't hesitate.

No you're right - it's me thinking they did. I had to look back at my photo's to check. To many ships to keep track of especially bouncing on 4 different ones in the past 8 months. It was the Coral with the indoor pool.

We sailed on the CB for a week-long cruise in August and then two short cruises a month ago. All three were fine. I did like the week-long one better. I would do the short ones again, though, if the price worked out better for DH's school break schedule.

We are elite with Princess, and have also sailed Celebrity, Carnival, and Holland. We were on the CB in May, June, December, and earlier this month. We were very pleased with each sailing. Our waiter and asst. waiter with the Dec/Jan cruises (btb) were our best ever! I have learned that you find what you are looking for: we find friendly, helpful staff, good food, and reality!

We sailed Caribbean Princess twice in the period you are questioning and are booked for a Transatlantic on her this coming year. In general the ship is comparable to the Crown/Emerald/Ruby class of ships, with some minor exceptions. She still has the "shopping cart handle" for Skywalker's.

The only area we found lacking was the mini-golf, where the Caribbean Princess has an upper deck midships windy putting green only. We're not real thrilled about having the Deck 7 location of the casino, and will avoid it going to/from the Princess Theater.

Most everything else is the same high Princess quality.

The great thing about the "shopping cart handle" Skywalkers design is that it provides shade over the Terrace pool much of the afternoon, especially important when the sun is directly overhead.

I did 9 days on the Caribbean in late August and really enjoyed it. IMO, everything about it was just great!!
