Diva Onboard Posted January 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2015 Does anyone know where the tenders land in Lahaina? We will be in Maui and will be tendered ashore from the cruise ship. Will the tender location be near Front Street? Thanks.
Susan-M Posted January 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2015 Just one block west of Front Street - here's the location on google maps.

Northern Aurora Posted January 26, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2015 We have tendered at Lahaina three times. If you look at a map of Lahaina the tenders docked each time "katty-corner" to the old Lahaina Courthouse and Customs House, which is now a small museum. AZ Stan (FKA Stan in Chicago) Posted January 27, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2015 Just one block west of Front Street - here's the location on google maps. Susan, thanks from us, also. I clicked on your link, switched to sattelite view, and you could even see two ships tenders at the wharf. Looks like an easy walk-around port. Diva Onboard Posted February 9, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted February 9, 2015 On my first cruise to Maui, we were also tendered but could not remember where the location was. This is a big help. I also recall walking through some type of building/warehouse after we got off the tender. There were several vendors with tables setup selling leis. I wonder if that building/welcome center is still there. Elaine

Elaine Then you tendered into the Kahului pier instead of docking there because there is nothing close to what you described in Lahaina which is only a small boat harbor and small tender pier. ;) Edited February 9, 2015 by Astro Flyer

Astro Flyer Posted February 10, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) What is the process to get off the ship and tendered to Maui. is it first come first one off. My experience with tendering on Princess (including Lahaina) is that priority tendering (elite level repeat passengers & suite passengers) do not have to wait in a dining room for a tender ticket & can join the back of the tender line at anytime. Also those on ship's tours get priority and then those waiting in the dining room are escorted by groups to a tender. It can get busy but usually after about 10:00 tenders are less crowded & they no longer use the tender ticket procedure. CruiserBruce Posted February 10, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) What is the process to get off the ship and tendered to Maui. is it first come first one off. It is first come first served, after elites, suite pax, and cruise line excursions....on pretty much all cruise lines. rosegrower Posted February 11, 2015 #11 Share Posted February 11, 2015 If you are in Maui overnight and want to go to a Luau there, how late do the tenders run back to the ship? We have never done a tender in the dark.
CRUZBUDS Posted February 11, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) We've done a few overnights in Lahaina -- the tenders ran all night. In the late night/early morning they were hourly :) There will be plenty of tenders to take the crowd from the laua Edited February 11, 2015 by CRUZBUDS

Not sure which cruise line you with be on but for our cruises on Royal Caribbean early morning they pass out tender tickets for determining priority when leave that day. You present those tickets to leave the ship except if you are on one of their excursions which receive priority.
CRUZBUDS Posted February 13, 2015 #16 Share Posted February 13, 2015 One of our overnights in Lahaina was Royal, the first day we had tender tickets like every other tender port -- the second day it was open since they had been running all night. Aloha! :)

And on your excursion tickets will be the place and time to be at the meeting place (maybe Princess Theater). All members of your party need to be there when you're escorted over to the tender gangway. Same thing for those going to the dining room to get a tender ticket -- you can't get extra tickets. After those with priority use the tenders, numbers will be called for the ticket holders. At some point, you don't need to get a ticket, just go to the gangway after the announcement.
