BTW - Martin from Peru due to join Liberty is Mickey Martin, and Margot is on Oasis. No idea who the CD or AM are on Radiance.

 

We had a terrific time on Allure. We have sailed with Cruise Director Mitch twice before and he just came back from his own vacation, charged up with energy....Grant Martin is great fun. When they are doing an event together, they have great chemistry. One of the interesting things that happened, was with a young boy who was sailing. He is a budding journalist, actually writes articles for his local paper....and he was 'on assignment' with his pad and pencil...and Mitch did a sketch with him on the morning show. It was great.

****Allure OTS – Grant Martin will be on board until December 10 and Amy Tripp will takeover until he returns from vacation at the beginning of February. Amy will probably be going to meet joinSymphony to get ready for take out, when she leaves Allure.

****Anthem OTS – Enzo Majijaca is the AM since October. Theonly Enzo that I know of is Enzo Matijaca who had left Royal back inMarch….welcome back to him. TornadoTanya has announced via FB that she goes to Anthem in April.

****Brilliance OTS – Flavio Maeda is currentlyon. Based on what I have been told he should be there until early February whenCecy del Razo will be joining the ship.

****Empress OTS – Mauricio Diaz is onboard until mid February 2018.

****Enchantment OTS – TT Algon was sighted onthe October 27th Enchantment sailing. We don’t know when the contract started norhow long it is for.

****Explorer OTS – Katy McCullagh is onsince October 6 and probably on until Anys joins the ship on 11/19 until 2/9/18and then she will move to Freedom from 2/11 to 3/17. Looking to learn if Anys has returned to Explorer.

****Freedom OTS – AngelleRutten Van Hemert has joined FR as of mid October.

 

****Grandeur OTS – Tornado Tanya was due back from vacation on9/21/17. Looking to get verification from a cruiser that she has returned fromvacation.Tino Jacksonhas taken over for Tornado Tanya while she is on vacation. Tino will be there until 9/21, when Tanyareturns and he will then go to Serenade. Tanya is getting ready to head back toGrandeur and she said on FB she is looking forward to it.

*****Harmony – Gerardo De La Concha Kubli (called Jerry) is onboard until 12/9 and then goes onvacation until February 3, 2018. Katy McCullagh hasconfirmed that she returns to Harmony on 12/9 until 2/3/18.

Can anyone confirm if Tanya is actually still on the Grandeur? Someone on another social media site said she was leaving after her particular cruise, and I questioned if maybe Tanya meant after this contract... No one seemed to know the answer.

I second your opinion of Grant. We didn't see Mitch much besides Quest and maybe one or two other things but it seemed like we were running into Grant all the time and the energy he brought to everything he did was incredible. He also helped one of my best friends propose to his girlfriend during the 50s/60s party in the promenade and it turned out amazing. I can't recommend him enough!

I can easily see Grant being fully helpful with the proposal......he was looking forward to his vacation that begins 12/10/17 and returning to Allure in February. He was trying to get in some of his own 'vacationing' away from family, which is fun for him.....but he was lots of fun.

We saw Mitch doing his CD stuff.....and he was just returning to Allure and getting back into the massive amount of scheduling that goes on and each CD seems to like things scheduled just a little differently. He hosted a great Love and Marriage and what I like, is that he makes sure everyone is a winner.

Paulette, what do you mean by this?

I hope he doesn't do the "John Blair approach" where every team wins the Quest, or the "Adventure Ocean approach" where all the kids win the team games.

 

He fully understands that the couples whoare doing Love and Marriage, sometimes put themselves into awkward situations with the questions....so each couple get prizes at the end for participating and there is a 'big winner'.

 

Mitch does a good Quest -- worry NOT -- it is not the "John Blair approach"; it was adult fun without being childishly 'dangerous'.

Jerry's off for his break, Katy came back last week for handover and took over today. She is there until February 3rd then Jerry is back for 4 months. I know that Bobby Brown is gone from HM, but hopefully Jerry will keep the Twitter account going with Marc Walker, who is CD upon his return from vacation.

 

Also, a question for you - Did Mitch host L&M on your recent cruise? I saw a L&M video on YouTube that showed Grant hosting it.

 

Yes, Mitch did host L&M on our cruise. But Mitch often lets the AM do some of the 'big' ticket gigs, during their last week onboard before they head off to vacation. So if that is what Grant wanted to do, not surprised at it happening. Grant cohosted the show with Mitch on our cruise.

****Adventure OTS – Daniel Dornas arrived on AD October 28probably to cover the vacation of Renato Arena until late Dec or early January.

****Allure OTS – AmyTripp onboard as of 12/10 until early February when Grant Martin will returnfrom his vacation. Amy will probably begoing to join Symphony to get ready for take out, when she leaves Allure.

****Anthem OTS – Enzo Majijaca is the AM since October. Theonly Enzo that I know of is Enzo Matijaca who had left Royal back inMarch….welcome back to him. TornadoTanya has announced via FB that she goes to Anthem in April.

****Brilliance OTS – Flavio Maeda is currentlyon. Based on what I have been told he should be there until early February whenCecy del Razo will be joining the ship.

*****Radiance OTS – Saini Gupta was on the11/18 to 11/29 sailing….don’t have any information as to when he started or howlong he will be on the ship.

Not sure when but was told that the dry dock will be in Spain. I'll sail the Mariner OTS again in March and will get that info.

The drydock is scheduled for February 2018. Kitty Xu as the AM should be taking the ship into drydock and then going on vacation or to another ship. Renato Arana joins the ship as it leaves drydock and sails again with passengers in March 2018.

 

When you sail on Mariner in March 2018 she will have completed the drydock.

Mariner definitely goes to dry dock after arriving in Spain. The Global Odyssee was supposed to have three legs (Singapore to Dubai; Dubai to Barcelona and Barcelona to Miami), but the Barcelona to Miami leg was cancelled to accommodate the dry dock. I am only booked on the first leg, but there are a lot of people on our roll call that were booked on all three and are affected by the cancellation.
