Cruisfan Posted January 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2015 From people who have done this before, do the menus in the main dining room repeat for the second leg of the cruise or are the offerings different? Cruisfan

RMLincoln Posted January 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2015 There's some good in that they repeat: If you really liked something you can have it again. If you had trouble deciding you get to try a different dish from the same menu. Our b2bs had different length legs so there were a few variations. m--
Rare Crew News Posted January 27, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) From people who have done this before, do the menus in the main dining room repeat for the second leg of the cruise or are the offerings different?Cruisfan For the Caribbean cruises that have a different itinerary the second week, the MDR menus change slightly so that numerous B@B passengers (445 on the NA in Dec) do not have the same meals. Eastern Caribbean menus (first week Dec 2014): http://www.rogerjett-photography.com/?page_id=3787 Western Caribbean menus (second week Dec 2014): http://www.rogerjett-photography.com/?page_id=3791 For Alaska itineraries that are the same each week and few B2B (4 in Alaska 2014) passengers, the menus are identical. RuthC Posted January 27, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2015 If they are truly back to back cruises, that is, they are not a Collectors' Cruise, or linked in some fashion, the menus may very well be the same. They will be different if that is normal on that route. But if it's deemed a Collectors' Cruise, then the menus will be different. The same foods will appear, but never in the same combination on any given menu as a whole.
Cruisfan Posted January 27, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted January 27, 2015 What's a collector cruise? We sail this weekend on the Eurodam, 7 days east and then 7 days west Caribbean. Is that a collector cruise? Cruisfan: confused:

We did a Western Caribbean, 7 Day - followed by a week long Western Caribbean, and the menus varied. Look at the ones Roger Jett posted.

Cruisfan Posted January 27, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted January 27, 2015 Thank you everyone for your replies. I guess we are on a collector cruise where people get on and off mid-way. As someone stated, if the menu repeats, it's the opportunity to try something different from the first go or eat again one that you really liked. Krazy Kruizers Posted January 27, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 27, 2015 If you have 1 booking number (confirmation number) -- then you are on a Collectors Cruise. The menus change slightly.

EM We have done quite a few 10 and 11 day cruises that were put together to form a 21 day Collector's Cruise.
take us away Posted January 28, 2015 #12 Share Posted January 28, 2015 Did a collector's 21-day cruise late Nov / early Dec and the menus were a bit different on each segment. There were the usual repeats, i.e. prime rib, surf and turf plus the items that are available every day but there were also new items on the menu each day.
