mushroom Posted February 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2015 We will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary on the Navigator in April. One of the ports is San Diego and we would dearly love to invite two dear friends to join us onboard for lunch. Is this even possible, and if so, what is the procedure? Thanks for any help you can give.
Travelcat2 Posted February 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2015 There is definitely a way to get permission to get your friends on board. Generally this needs to be done at least a month before the cruise. I do not remember the details but suggest that you contact your TA. They will be able to obtain the forms from Regent. If you booked through Regent, give them a call. Happy 50th Anniversary in advance :)

liptastic Posted February 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 4, 2015 On a recent cruise on Navigator fellow guests mentioned they had friends coming on board during our New York port, for dinner. We were unaware you could pre arrange this, and we were meeting up with our niece and her boyfriend during the Bay of Fundy port. We approached the reception desk, and the staff were wonderful. They were so helpful and managed to arrange for them both to come on board for lunch. We obviously had to be quick off the mark on the phone and email to get the required identity details, but they staff at reception were just so helpful and made it all possible. We had we wonderful lunch with family and it was so special. Thy did say it should be arranged prior to the cruise. Have a fabulous anniversary and cruise. Best wishes, Jean. gnomie1 Posted February 4, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2015 It is really quite easy to arrange and the ship's staff is really very welcoming to guests. Just one piece of important information - your guest(s) (each of them) will need a photo ID to board the ship which is left with security and returned upon disembarkment. We met up with a couple who were expecting their children and one daughter forgot to bring any ID and it took quite some time to sort things out. gnomie :)
