peterseaford Posted February 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2015 we did a short trip on Celebrity Solstice and loved every minute so have booked a eight day trip - wife is fearful of seasickness. This time on board have those drink dockets and would love to have some meals in the speciality dining areas but find that bookings can only be made 4 days before sailing . What else is beaut onboard that we should not miss - we have a balcony so would love breakfast in our cabin - is that possible as room service seems to have only drinks and "fast" food How about tipping for room service - what would be reasonable in your opinion ? Would really appreciate any information and advise that will "show us the way" We usually usually discover the good things after the fact buy with your help NOT THIS TIME kind regards peter

spookwife Posted February 12, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2015 we did a short trip on Celebrity Solstice and loved every minute so have booked a eight day trip - wife is fearful of seasickness. ginger and green apples. drug free, non drowsy. This time on board have those drink dockets and would love to have some meals in the speciality dining areas but find that bookings can only be made 4 days before sailing . there is always room to book on board, and in fact may get some specials like BOGO or a percentage off. What else is beaut onboard that we should not miss - we have a balcony so would love breakfast in our cabin - is that possible as room service seems to have only drinks and "fast" food Celebrity allows you to order from the MDR menu any time it is serving for Room service. How about .tipping for room service - what would be reasonable in your opinion ? tipping should start at a dollar or two for a pot of coffee and some pastries up to 5 for a full meal for 2 peter pay close attention to the daily planner each night and mark off the things you want to do,
cb at sea Posted February 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2015 There will be a breakfast room service card that you fill out the night before and your breakfast arrives at the time you choose. Not all balconies have dining tables, so eating a full meal can be a bit....messy!
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 12, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2015 The amount of food you order for room service depends on how much you want to tip. Most usually tip anywhere from $2 - $5 for breakfast. Have the tip ready as the person who delivers it will quickly leave.
