It's not your regular claw machine. The powers that be have the ability to change the "gripping" power of the claw, so while there might be several "wins" the first day, those numbers would be significantly reduced after that. It is less about skill and more about luck. (Info here is based on a mini documentary I watched on cruise casinos)

I'm probably missing some unwritten forum rule but why not quote an old thread?  This seems to have some current interest.   Bringing up old threads happens all the time on other forums I visit.   Though sometimes it is clear some might not be aware of how old the quoted thead is.  I wasn't on this one until you mentioned it.  Still, didn't change anything.

Personally, people who resurrect old threads don't bother me as much as people who start threads without making any effort to find out answers to basic questions on their own. And that goes especially for people start a thread about something that was answered three or four posts directly below theirs.

I was lured by the stacks of cash and tried like 5 times when I was able to lift a stack of $10s which unfortunately slipped out of the claw shortly after starting it's path sideways. Ooooh that hurt. So I tried a bunch more times before deciding it wasn't worth it after all. I wish I had known about the variable grip of the claw because that makes so much more sense now!

Mark Roper did a series on this on YT.  Completely set by the owner of the machine; not about skill at all.
