Being a cat lover, I opened it. Oh well.
tahqa Posted February 24, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2015 I've snorkeled at Buck Island twice and have seen 10 - 20 sea turtles each time.
ALANG Posted February 24, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2015 Just got back from Buck Island snorkeling. DW and I enjoyed the trip and we saw many sea turtles while snorkeling. Some turtles came very close to us while we were snorkeling which made the excursion a hit for us.
Jiffymom Posted February 24, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted February 24, 2015 Along how about colorful fish I gather there is no reef. The kids want to see it all. Turtles and fish. Which tour did you do ?
Ms411 Posted February 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 24, 2015 I saw turtles and small colorful fish at Turtle Cove/Buck Island. The guide should tell you where to go to see turtles vs fish. The fish were near the rocks and the turtles are in deeper water. The fish were mostly small though.
ladybug1s Posted April 14, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) I wondered the same questions, what about sharks.Though some may want to see them, but with 3 kids I would prefer not! haha Did you see many fish and turtles at Buck Island Or should we just go snorkel at trunk bay or honeymoon Edited April 14, 2015 by ladybug1s
O2B@Cagain Posted April 14, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 14, 2015 The chances of seeing sharks in the wild are minimal. If the kids want to see them, maybe Coral World is an idea. They have a "pet the baby shark" exhibit to get children to understand that they aren't all "Jaws".
