Oceania Marina beds

We are looking at booking a South Pacific 18 day cruise on Marina. We have not been on Oceania before. I like a firm mattress and notice Marina has gel and memory foam top which I would generally not like and associate with a softer mattress. I would really appreciate any feedback from those that have been on Marina and especially those people that like a firm mattress. I would hate to book a trip only to find I can't sleep on the bed and end up on the sofa for 18 days!

 

I was recently on Celebrity Silhouette and loved the beds on that ship but unfortunately they don't go to the South Pacific and Oceania has been recommended to me.

We have a relatively firm high end mattress at home with a minimal top layer of memory foam. If anything, the memory foam enhances the even distribution of the firm traditional mattress underneath. I mention this because we found the mattress on Regatta this past summer to be very much what we are used to.

The beds are very firm

we have a firm mattress at home & very much the same on the ships

 

I would not sleep on the sofa ;)

I have found the beds on both classes of the Oceania ships to be very comfortable.

Oceania's beds are the most comfortable I've ever Ben on--so much so that I thought of purchasing one!
