paying to upgrade your cabin?

They do not handle upgrades on the day you board, so you must do it in advance. Contact your TA or Princess. Cost will be the difference between the amount you paid for your current cabin and the current price for the new cabin

Im going to be on the Regal in 11 days!!! I was thinking of upgrading. WOuld it be cheaper to wait until we board?

Sorry, your too late! Why would you consider doing this now? When you booked originally, that time until final payment is when you should monitor prices for your own stateroom discount or a reduction in price with a different category! When you wait until the last minute, undoubtedly you will pay the highest price or because Princess is great at selling out ALL available inventory,

there will be nothing left!

Enjoy your stateroom and your cruise!;)

As noted in the responses here there are no upgrades onboard.

You have lots of time to go through either Princess or your TA if there is space available. :)

If course, there are many posts here about princess offering

cruises upsells. To be able to do this, ALL available inventory

can not be already sold.

For instance, here is one from yesterday:

That is part of how Princess is great at selling out ALL available inventory, selling now what used to be given away as free upgrades.

We turned down an upsell offer for one of our December cruises. We still got a nice upgrade--from Cat. BF guarantee to a Cat. BB. We got an even better upgrade on the second cruise of our b2b to a Cat. B1 but we did not get an upsell offer for that cruise.
