Keep in mind that using the online form for requesting price drops is only for those that booked Early Saver through Carnival. If you booked another rate and are still before your final payment you can still take advantage of the price drops, but I don't think you use the form? If you booked through a travel agent, you will need to call them and they will then contact Carnival to have your rate adjusted.

We have had two price drops on our November 1, Magic cruise in the past week. Saved about $150 total. Though we booked through a travel agent. So we had to call them. The calls, including hold time, were kind of lengthy, as they had to sit on hold to reach Carnival. But in the end they were able o get the price adjusted and send out a new invoice showing the new final payment amount due.

If you booked another rate, Military etc, you need to call your PVP or Carnival directly. Yes it has to be before final payment.

My booking is with the 99.00 deposit special. I have gotten 2 price drops and it didn't change my deposit requirement at all.

Is it because the reduced deposit promotions were still ongoing when the price drops occurred?

That wasn't the case last year when we booked 50% deposit. As soon as we applied for a price drop we had to pay remaining balance. They didn't tell you either. You had to notice yourself when you received your confirmation. Some bookings were actually cancelled because of this oversight by the cruiser. Lesson learned real fast.

Quick question, I booked a balcony on the 7th deck about 2 months ago. The aft balconies on the 7th deck are sold out but they are avail on the 8th deck with a tiny upgrade charge that comes out to $80 less than what I booked for. Do I still qualify for price protection or does a aft balcony on the 7th deck have to be available to take advantage of price protection?

If the category is the same that is all that matters for price drop and, of course, need to be early saver or before final due date

Down a total of $160 for our November cruise on the Magic. Took less than an hour each time. Still not showing our $100 OBC that we should have for booking while onboard, I already sent an email without any response. I guess I need to call

How long does it take for them to approve? I did mine at 4:30 yesterday and haven't heard anything yet

When I did one last month it took about 2 days to get a response, then I submitted three on Monday (three cabins) at about 10:30 PM and had a response/approval by the morning....

But I keep screen shots of the reduced price in case there is an issue and the price has gone up or something....

I lost my $50 OBC from a prior offer. They said it wasn't available since I took the lower fare. Was the gal I spoke with incorrect??

No shes probably right... Usually if you have promos like that you will lose them if the promo isn't available any more... so you have to gauge whats worth more

Noticed another drop too. In the last 8 days, we have saved $120 for the two of use by booking early saver for our Aug. 30, 2015 cruise on the Magic. Saved $60 on March 20 and today another $60. So that just lowers the price before I complete the balance before June 16. Maybe Carnival will do it again. The lady on the phone keep telling me it was only a $20 drop. I told her to please take the time and refresh her site, because it was not correct. Finally it came up correctly on her computer.

I'm pretty sure calling your PVP doesn't work. You must fill out the electronic form. A link was provided earlier in the thread at Post #38.

Mine told me to file then contact him or carnival. Problem is, on both my forms they said that the current price was HIGHER. Carnival/PVP worked it out. Now I'm waiting for the next drop but if it's not a casino rate I'll probably lose the $25 casino cash.
