jticarruthers Posted April 9, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2015 $200 per guest savings would be a nice promo ...unless they just raise the base price by $200 per guest first :)
jeslimin Posted April 9, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2015 .... as they raise prices by an equal amount and the offer is non combinable with any other discounts or sales.....
molly361 Posted April 9, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Sounds good if prices don't go up. We will find out Saturday:) Probably not combinable with balcony discounts , etc.

nelblu Posted April 9, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 9, 2015 I've got a sailing in March. '16 and RCL would probably re-price which will cost me more than the savings. Humbug!
son3cruisers Posted April 11, 2015 #10 Share Posted April 11, 2015 (edited) Our cruise for next march went up in price today....$145 more for an oceanview... We have an onboard booking, and $100 stateroom credit. I guess we will loose that? No sale then. Edited April 11, 2015 by son3cruisers
nyc12345 Posted April 11, 2015 #11 Share Posted April 11, 2015 The price has gone up to compensate for the free tax...RCCL, stop pretending to be on sale!

Grandma Petania Posted April 11, 2015 #13 Share Posted April 11, 2015 In the 45 days since I booked a Central Park balcony for two - for February 2016 - the price has gone up by $795. They will have to come up with a better "sale" before I'll be pestering my TA to check out the particulars.
son3cruisers Posted April 11, 2015 #14 Share Posted April 11, 2015 It appears to be a savings.... But unfortunately, it's for US residents only.
Summerknight Posted April 11, 2015 #15 Share Posted April 11, 2015 We have two cruises booked during the sales time frame. One was a savings. One is not.
Rare nbsjcruiser Posted April 11, 2015 #16 Share Posted April 11, 2015 I called in today and was able to save $200. Thank you for posting this. We are sailing on the NOS in Nov.
shutterbug63 Posted April 11, 2015 #17 Share Posted April 11, 2015 (edited) LOL...yeah, I'm laughing at yet another genius RCL sale. I have a JS booked on the Freedom for March 13, 2016. I'm paying $2,500 for two overall, total (booked during BOGOHO). It's now $4,173.00. Wow, just wow. IF (and that's a big if, we are looking at Princess next May to Alaska instead) we decide to sail Freedom, it will be our last on Royal if these prices continue. marci22 Posted April 11, 2015 #18 Share Posted April 11, 2015 These various sales remind me of those 'liquidation' sales you always see at cheap furniture and rug stores. People catch on but I'm sure there are a good amount that just buy and feel good that they got something 'on sale'.
son3cruisers Posted April 11, 2015 #19 Share Posted April 11, 2015 I called in today and was able to save $200. Thank you for posting this. We are sailing on the NOS in Nov. I see you are Canadian... Just wondering, How did you get the $200 savings.... I was told US residents only. Did you book in US funds? Rebooked it? Or did they reprice it? Did you book in US funds? Rebooked it? Or did they reprice it? For most of the sales when they say US residents it does apply to Us Canadians as well. Like everything it most likely depends on who you ask when you call Royal. Edited April 11, 2015 by Ourusualbeach
son3cruisers Posted April 11, 2015 #21 Share Posted April 11, 2015 I tried booking online, and on the Candian site ( Canadian dollars) there is no sale...taxes are included. But if I price it in US funds, I see a savings. Ugh. Not sure I want to book in US funds with the dollar where it is... I think the savings will be gone... PompeySailor Posted April 11, 2015 #22 Share Posted April 11, 2015 (edited) This was looked at for someone wanting a D1 balcony on Freedom for February 2016 to see price changes +55 and Quebec. Defo no port tax fees on US site Before offer Edited April 11, 2015 by PompeySailor

Did you book in US funds? Rebooked it? Or did they reprice it? I called in and the rep said no problem. I am booked in US funds. My SIL is also booked on the same but booked in Canadian funds. The rep told me that she could get it also. I was told that the cruise only has to start and end in a US port and be 6 days or longer.
PompeySailor Posted April 11, 2015 #24 Share Posted April 11, 2015 DW will be on the C&A phone when they open at 10am EST. Want to see if we can get the port fees and taxes removed for our March 2016 Allure sailing. ($337.50 savings for us) We did book under the original BOGOHO we do have D+ balcony discount, and also have OBC from redeployment. And it was booked through RC in USD No harm in trying. Will be interesting to see if they bump up 3rd passenger pricing;) Will report back, once we have made contact. Guess phones will be busy today:) Happy Days!
