Can someone who has traveled recently let me know if you are receiving appetizers in Michael's Club? If so, what are they and at what times of the day are they available? Also, are you able to grab water, pelligrino, soda from MC all day long? Is MC open to just sit and hang out all day or is it only open at certain times. How about breakfast? What is offered in MC for breakfast, if anything?

What would be great is if X posted this info to their website so I don't have to ask a Cruise Critic member! Thank you!

It is ipen pretty much all day. You can grab drinks and they have varied snacks, breakfast items and appetizers at different times. They are varied and am sure based on ship by ship so putting on site would not be viable. Also nothing worth planning you day around. Concierge has specific posted hours. Millie was ours and she was incredible.

We were offered appetizers in MC every time we went in there in the afternoon. Yes, they will give you all the water, etc. you want all day and into the night. You may sit and hang out there if you wish. Never went there for breakfast--Blu is my preferred location for that. This was on the Connie late November-early December.

Thanks! As for adding info the website, what I meant was something like:

You can enjoy breakfast (continental i assume) in MC from xx am-xx am

You can enjoy serve yourself beverages such as water, sparkling water, sodas all day/night

You can enjoy James Beard inspired appetizers from xx-xx

Something like this. These are great perks and they should be clearly stated or else how would you know before you got on the ship?

Silhouette - help yourself to the refrigerator was encouraged. Hot and cold canapés before dinner, and some kind of nut mix.

Reflection - bartender jumped in and wanted to hand bottles to you; one door handle was broke. Cold canapés only before dinner and the same nut mix.

In December the Summit had some very nice appetizers in MC. While I am not sure every time they had them there was something before embarkation lunch in the MDR, and they had nice pre dinner ones. Fish eggs, lobster etc..

I remember some kind of bread offerings for breakfast, but there may have been more...we ate in Blu.

Hi there,

So glad you are looking forward to your time in Michael's. We have recently come off Equinox and Michael's was a favourite place for us.

Water, drinks.... Available all day and up until midnight (not that we ever lasted that long). Water and some sodas were always on the bar as a 'help yourself'. As penthouse and royal suites now have these complementary in their suites they did not go too fast.

As Luminae is now up and running Michael's does not provide breakfast or any substantial food. What it does have, however, were some really tasty little four section canopies. We only experienced Thes once or twice when we popped into Michael's for an afternoon drink after being off the ship. They were great if you needed something tasty but did not want to spoil your evening dinner.

We also stopped by in Michael's some sea day mornings for coffee and a Bellini. We were offered croissants or Danish pastries but never asked for them. Remember you can have breakfast in your room if you wish.

Have a great cruise and enjoy Michael's club.

Thanks everyone.

We will most definitely take advantage of Luminae for breakfast. Just wanted to know what all of my options are. If for some reason we miss breakfast in SDR or BLU, I wanted to know if there is anything available in MC. I know OV has buffet. Sounds like danish and coffee in MC. This is all very helpful.

On Reflection, where are they holding Elite breakfast these days? I think it was in Tuscan the last time we were on this ship.

Also, for all of you wine-o's, how was the wine in MC. I am a fan of sauvignon blanc (french or NZ), sancerre, pouilly fume/fuisse, french rose. Anything like this available and drinkable??

Thanks again.

We have now experienced three suite Michael's Clubs and they really will (within reason) try to ensure they have your favourite tipple available. Let them know your preferences and they really will do their best to deliver.

As a UK cruiser I often enjoy a pre dinner Sherry. On each of my recent cruises they have not had this as I have boarded but they have by day two-even asking my favourite brands.

We were on Reflection in January. Every evening, we went to Michael's for a pre dinner cocktail (or two....), and every evening the bartender brought us out a plate of canapés. I know one night was sushi, I don't remember the specifics of the other nights but I know we commented they were a nice addition.

We are going to be in our first suite in a couple of weeks - celebrity suite. We do not have a drink package this time as we are fairly port intensive and are not big drinkers. That being said what kind of selection is available in Michaels Club as a pre-dinner drink?

There's a full bar, a good selection of beer (some local), wine including sparkling wine. If you want something that they don't have they will get it for you if possible. If you aren't big drinkers, you should be very happy with the selection. Water and soda is available to go. Have a great cruise.

Michael's Club itself is open 24/7. I've gone in after 1am from the Casino and fetch a drink of my choice.

The barteneder is SUPPOSED to be there until midnight, but we all not there isn't total consistency and of course I was told this by the MC Concierge back in December (she rolled out all of the Michae's Clubs.

The bar itself is generally manned from 8am with one person to do coffee and on both Millenium and Summit had someone to get you a drink from 8am-late night. If you don't like what they have they will get / stock what you want or go get you a drink from Al Bacio, Martini Bar, etc The wines generall available were Wente and similar level. Ok wines, but nothing special, but again, they generally accomidate within reason.

As I said before, I we didn't see, or were offered canopies on this last sailing, but we also never asked (and were never hungry).

Happy sailing!

Jenna

Jenna, interesting that you did not get canapés in Michael's on Summit. We never asked for them on Reflection, they just appeared along with our drinks. It wasn't a large portion, usually came on a plate with 4 sections, but it was nice to have a bite or two before dinner (not that we would have gone hungry without them, but it did make MC feel more elegant than the regular bars.)

Yes, we had been offered and sampled them on previous cruises. Some were good, some not. We also had some of them delivered to our cabins on previous cruises. We didn't ask OR see others with them on this last cruise on Summit. I'm sure if someone asked, they would have been provided, at least I hope so.

Happy sailing,

Jenna

Just off the Constellation a few days ago and never saw any canapés in Michael's Club. We stopped by at various times, from mid morning until about 8 pm. It was very quiet in there, empty much of the time. Once the staff found out our favorite drinks, they were stocked.

Was Alex the bartender? He's great! So is Milli the concierge!

Our bar service was provided by Norbert and Millica was our conceirge. Both were excellent. I am aware that many staff were near to holiday time so I am not sure if they are both still on board now.

We will most definitely take advantage of Luminae for breakfast.

Only if it's a port day ... at least that's how it was on Eclipse, and it ended rather early at 9am. We only bothered to go once. Otherwise it's Brunch between 10am (too late for breakfast!) and 1pm (too early for lunch!). It was never open for a "normal" lunch.

X have now confirmed that from now on Luminae will be open for lunch as previously advertised.

Hi all,

We are excited about launching Luminae for our Suite Class guests. Luminae is now 100% operational across the Celebrity fleet. Beginning with each ship's next sailing, we will welcome our Suite Class guests for three meals a day, beginning with lunch on embarkation day.

Time will tell if they hold to this but I for one hope they do :)

We were on the Connie in April and had canapés daily in Michaels - usually before dinner. They varied everyday and were usually quite good. The staff there were great and Gareth the concierge was wonderful - helped with anything that we needed!
