Yes, they are missing Halifax due to icebergs. Bad luck. I hope the ice melts as we are due to call in at Halifax on 30 Sept on Aurora.

I'm reading through one of the world cruise blogs and the Princess ovens, hot plates, grills must not be working as they been reporting for 52 days of stone cold food.

That would be Andy, the Scots/Canadian who blogs, he is a ex ships' officer with P&O. No one else seem to be complaining.

I have to check when I'm due to cruise on Halifax 19 September. So hopefully they have melted by then.

Plus the fog has slowed them down enroute to Halifax, hence heading to NY to keep on time. And the western North Atlantic is well known for icebergs impacting on the shipping lanes, like now.

 

Such is life on the high seas and so the adventure continues on ye olde Sea Princess.

Well looks like we will have 2 ships to follow now as Ray has just joined the Royal Princess... it will be interesting to read a blog about another trip...

oh and saw a photo on facebook ..... it looks like pea soup out from the decks... and with the horn constantly blowing I bet it is very eerie.

 

If I remember correctly there is one section through the atlantic there that the water looked like glass ( so smooth ) and the fog ... you couldn't see too far infront of you ...

According to email from parents, they are due to get in at 7pm 24/07. They are looking forward to the view as they cruise into the harbour. Apparently customs/immigration takes around 4 hours, so the benefit will be that tours etc will get off to an early start the following day.

It's still early hours in the morning so they've still got a fair bit of sailing to do
