Getting to from airports

Are you docking that morning or the night before? Remember that the port authorities/immigration have to clear the ship before anyone disembarks...add in the morning BA traffic - and you are supposed to be at the airport 2-3 hours prior to an international flight. Not promising, sorry to say.

I also don't know when you arrive in BA, but I've left Rio the day before end of cruise to avoid the whole last day waiting for the night flights.

Night flight is indeed a pain. We had a fairly pleasant day in BA after disembarking by renting a hotel room at a day rate. Enjoyed the facilities of the hotel. Napped, showered had an early dinner and headed for airport 4 hours before our flight and made the flight comfortably but with not a lot of time to spare. The airport is not a user friendly place.
