Radiance light switches...

Recommended Posts

Are they regular light switches or do you need to bring a card to insert into a slot to make then switches work?

This system is becoming very common at hotels...not on cruise ships. Once you open your cabin door with your SeaPass card you won't need it again while inside your cabin. Enjoy ROS will be on her again in September.

Carnival seem to be using this system on their new builds

So is Royal. It is on Quantum and Anthem and my guess is that it will be on Harmony and all future new builds.

Not a fan of this system at all...haven't cruised on Quantum/Anthem..will be on HOS in March 2017...at least this is only on the newer ships.

I can't tell you how many times I've walked into a hotel room, closed the door and have forgotten about this system

It is on the Disney Dream and Fantasy (possibly Magic, but I don't know for sure on that) which are all I have sailed as an adult. That is why I asked. If you know about it, it is no big deal to bring a "dead" gift card to put and leave in the slot. I just wanted to be prepared.

Thanks.
