Best inexpensive beach in Cozumel?

Going to Cozumel in October. We have done Passion Island 4 times.

Looking for an inexpensive beach to relax on. Passion Island has gone up to $79 On tripadvisor they say Mr Sancho's But that is $55 plus taxi fare.

Can't we find something nice not to crowded to just relax. We do not need water toys. Just some shade and lounge chairs. Any ideas?

The Money Bar is a nice place to be lazy at. Just buy a drink or some food. There are so many of the free beaches there. If you wanted to spend some money, Chankanaab is one of my favorites. More for snorkeling than beach.

Love the Money Bar but it is not really a beach. They have back filled a retaining wall with sand to create a beach feel. There are two sets of stairs into the water. Snorkeling is good here because of the iron shore.

The service is good , the chairs are free, food is yummy. Just not a good place for kids because of the lack of real beach and they could fall off the retaining wall.

Love the Money Bar for snorkeling, but as mentioned above no real beach. :(

If you want a real beach check out Paradise Beach ($3 admission - great facilities and HUGE pool) or the non-AI side of Mr. Sanchos (free admission, small pool). Both are about a $17 cab ride from the piers, but that fare covers up to 4 in the cab so pair up with others from your roll call. ;)

Another vote for Money Bar since it is probabably the least expensive taxi fare, good food and service but can get crowded and although there are quite a few tables and chairs not too many loungers and as stated no real " beach".

Paradise Beach has good clean facilities but not exactly my idea of quiet.

Another one to consider more expensive taxi fare, maybe $20-25 each way for 4 people but no entrance fee, Playa Palancar, good facilities ,PAYG.

If you dock at international or Puerta Maya no transport needed for day pass to Park Royal or El Cid.

Playa Uvas might be right for you. It is a small beach club that has several packages. $12 will get you in and includes a drink and snorkel equipment. Food and extra drinks can be had ala carte. It is next door to Chankanaab Park and is a short taxi ride from the ships. Well, short if you don't dock downtown at Punta Langosta.:D

We have been to Paradise Beach several times, and it's a good option, although I wouldn't choose this is you get into port later than other ships, as it gets very busy. It's great if you can get there early.
