mocrimlaw Posted July 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2015 About a week ago I read a thread where someone was talking about requesting loungers, and now I can't find it. Does anyone know if you can actually request lounge chairs for the veranda in a PH suite?
Rare LHT28 Posted July 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2015 I am not sure the loungers will fit on the regular PH balconies what people were requesting them for were the extended balcony cabins on deck 7 Someone will correct me if wrong In any case just ask your steward
StanandJim Posted July 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2015 LHT is correct, a standard penthouse veranda is too small to fit a lounge chair on both the R ships and the O ships. Only the so called "extended veranda" Staterooms and Penthouses, forward and aft on Deck 7 of Marina & Riviera, will accommodate a Lounge.

Rare PaulMCO Posted July 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2015 (edited) We will be in 7007 on 19 Aug and fully intend to ask! Donna Good luck -- there is no guarantee -- especially if ship is fully booked. They will use the excuse there are too many passengers and not enough lounge chairs. Had to speak with the GM to secure one lounge chair for our extended balcony B3. Edited July 15, 2015 by PaulMCO
rhohea Posted July 15, 2015 #6 Share Posted July 15, 2015 I had cabin 7111 on a B2B on Riviera last March and 2 lounges fitted easily. I was advised by "someone" :) to make a request in writing prior to sailing for the lounges to be placed on embarkation day as it is easier for crew/housekeeping etc to move furniture around without passengers in walkways etc. Contact Special Services via the "O" see the link below https://www.oceaniacruises.com/corporate/contact-us/ I received an email reply acknowledging my request but the email also stated it was not guaranteed that my request would be successful. Good Luck. I am on the Aug 19 sailing with you so if I see you have lounges .... I drink "Pina Colada's". Not long to go now Rhonda:D

corpkid Posted July 19, 2015 #11 Share Posted July 19, 2015 2 times out of our last 3 we've been in 7009 on Marina and we've had to ask each time and nothing was thought of it. The second time, it took a day but we got them no problem. And that was a sold out cruise. Certainly worth asking for if you are someone who lounges on the balcony (and they are BIG balconies!). Don't forget to tip the stateroom attendant a few extra for having to deal with those each night for turndown. Good luck and enjoy! :)
