Suite exit off Oasis of Seas

Recommended Posts

Good morning

A couple days ago we were given the option to sign up for suite express disembark. You can have either 7:45 or 8:30. They said space was limited. We signed up and got by choice 8:30. We were to be in suite lounge by 8:25 am.

Promptly at 8:30 Nadia grouped us together and she accessed the elevators with her pass and we all did express to promenade by the car with the Bears in it. When the group formed again two security guards escorted those who had to get luggage there and our group straight to TSA.

We walked by a lot of people. We were then placed right behind the yellow line and met with the next TSA agent.

We were in a taxi cab by 7:50.

Definitely loved this benefit.

Don't you mean Customs & Immigration as there is no TSA at the cruise port?

Thank you for the report. We are on in September and this is great news. De-barkation was the worst experience of the cruise for us on every ship except the Jewel in Alaska. In fact, I always put that in my survey in the section about comments.

How many people were in your group that was led off?

That's unfortunate as we've had wonderful debarkation experiences on all of our cruises. The most recent was Allure in February, Legend in May and Liberty in June.

Now that's an awesome suite perk! We were actually quite impressed by how fast we got off the ship and to our car. It took us a little under an hour, but were expecting much worse with so many passengers. We were both amazed at how organized they were.

It was nice meeting you and your husband!

Lionesss,

Usually "express" disembarkation means you have to bring your own luggage with you (instead of putting it out for them to take the night before). From your post, I am trying to understand if you had to bring your own luggage with you or could you be escorted off with the Concierge if you already had your luggage outside in the terminal? We have way too much luggage to handle it ourselves (we are on a B2B and I am a heavy packer:eek:)

Thanks very much.:)

Question: Fourteen hour drive home from Oasis so we want to driving ASAP. Which would you recommend, the 7:45 group or self disembarkation? If this goes around the lines, suite express sounds like it might be quicker.

We enjoyed a similar debarkation experience on Navigator in May. Yes, passed a lot of people and got directly into the customs line. There was only the one group and we left at 8:30. We were at our hotel to pick up our car by just after 9. No Jr. Suites. This was for suite and Pinnacle only.

Wow! Wish this would have happened on Oasis in June. We met in the suite lounge at 8:30 and Nadia escorted us down the elevator. We were eventually led around and released into the endless line to Customs. No security guards - no front of line for us. Wish they were consistent. (Who am I kidding? That's asking too much.)

We did valet so only carry ons with us. People in our group were escorted to pick up there bags with bell captain. But they ended up being behind us but they continued to be moved to the front of the line.

Thanks, Lionesss. We can't do valet as we are Canadian (international flight). So I guess we can take advantage of this too and get help with our luggage with a porter & then get back in the suite line (wishful thinking perhaps:)). We will check with the Concierge once onboard, of course. Thanks again for letting me know.

Wow

Sorry for your misfortune.

Certainly not the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I just thought booking three suites to the tune of $18,000 would get us at least the same perks as other suite passengers!!!

Off of Oasis on Jul 11th. We did the 745 one (as OP mentions choices were 745 or 830) as Nadia and Alan mentioned less crowded in their experience at 745. Walked by everybody, never stopped, did not have to choose carry your own luggage or luggage valet). After we passed by everybody waiting either for escalators on the pier or to even get off the ship, we were taken right to our luggage which was separated in a special suite area with the special suite red tags placed on the bags the night before.

Grabbed our bags, fed into special customs line for suite guests and were through customs and out the door. Left the suite lounge on 17 promptly at 745 and were in a taxi by I think it was 810 or so and that included spending about 5 minutes tracking down a wayward bag whose red suite tag had ripped off. Definitely one of the best suite perks there is in my opinion.
