PhillyTom Posted August 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2015 This may seem like a silly question, but here goes anyway. I enjoy eating breakfast in the Main Dining room on RCCL. I like my eggs cooked "over-easy/medium", meaning cooked on both sides. Is that a common term to use when ordering breakfast in the main dining room, or can you enlighten me on how I should order my eggs when I don't want sunny side up, but instead want the eggs cooked on both sides. I don't want to confuse the waitstaff with unfamiliar terminology or make a big deal of this issue.
GUT2407 Posted August 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2015 I'd be surprised if any chef didn't understand that request.
cb at sea Posted August 12, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 12, 2015 Yes...that's a common way to order eggs! The "over" part is key! It means to turn the egg over!

hutt1 Posted October 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 21, 2015 Say, "Over medium" if you want the white cooked and the yolk runny. Over easy will give you wobbly whites and over hard gives you a solid yolk.
JustCruiseyNotCrazy Posted October 29, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 29, 2015 The person cooking your food is a CHEF. they know what over easy, over medium, over hard, poached, scrambled easy, scrambled hard, sunny side up etc OMG! Thats like egg 101 in culinary school. So....NO you dont have to go back in the kitchen and explain it. Geez, really?
