So we are going to be platinum on our coming cruise in november on allure.

Yes I know this is nothing to most people on this forum.

 

I just looked up the difference between this and what we were.We get a robe!

Lol! And only if they dont run out.Thats about the only difference.Oh and a pin!

Cant forget the pin.I dont think we even board any sooner.I cant remember if there was a specific section for platinum waiting to board in port everglades.Yes I know there are a few other things for being platinum but NONE of them are of any significance.I was hoping for maybe one free drink a day or something but I guess Ill just wear my robe proud everywhere I go on the ship.(if I get one)..

Yeah I know about the discount.It was used for this cruise but its not much.Getting a public service discount(im a firefighter) was much more then the platinum discount.

Not a big deal.We love cruising no matter the discount.

We got robes on our very first cruise!

No special status what so ever!!

I couldn't bear wearing them though! Found them very hot and too much in the Caribbean!

Hope you find them more comfortable than i did!

I never got a robe, just a pin and I'm emerald now...I don't cruise for the stuff anyway. The smell of the ocean, the sound of the waves, the sight of my favorite bartender mixing up a drink. Who needs a robe!!

We're platinum and were directed to a special boarding line in Galveston. I don't remember if the designation was only platinum. We bypassed THAT line to get on the regular line since it was so much shorter. Go figure.

The make up of new vs returning cruisers vary weekly. The gold and non CA members sit on the other side of the canyon in the terminal and board last. You will board a couple of minutes before a large number of people, assuming you are the get to the terminal early type of folks, like we are. Enjoy. I did my first platinum and first Emerald on Allure. First Diamond will be on Oasis soon.
