LoonsonBalsam Posted August 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2015 We are on the Allure now and received a $200 non refundable OBC for booking a future cruise, to be used on this cruise. Previously when we booked on board the credit was for the future cruise, but the policy now is that the OBC is for the current cruise. My question is, if we have OBC left is there a way to withdraw this amount as cash?
molly361 Posted August 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2015 You should have been given the option to take the OBC on your present cruise OR on your future one. For some reason on some ships I have read folks are not being given the option of taking it later. That said, you can take money out at the casino and pay the 5% service charge. Yeah, I was actually asked - you should have had a choice. But since it's done, yes. You can withdraw the money at the casino window. If your SeaPass account is set up with a credit card there is that 5% fee. If it's set up as cash, there is no fee. But again, you'll need to tell the person in the casino window that you have a cash account.

Yes, go to the casino and withdraw the amount of cash you have credit for less 5%, the amount RCCL charges for as a fee and you have your non- refundable obc. Brossy Posted August 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 29, 2015 (edited) Just a quick question. If the OBC is purchased OBC can you get a cash refund without the 5% fee? And, how would I do this? Edited August 29, 2015 by Brossy

If it is refundable you can go to Guest Relations the afternoon prior to debarkation and they will give it to you in cash.
Rare Lionesss Posted August 29, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 29, 2015 OK Before our August 1, 2015 cruise on Oasis, a sale came out if you book your next cruise on board now you can get $200 on the current sailing or use on the cruise you book. So very eager to cruise again, I took the flier with us to the man that does the booking since we were still in the window of the sale. He goes, that does not apply. Looking confused, I asked why. He goes book now, get OBC now. Had we not used it we would have cashed out at casino. With a sad face we still booked (still gonna cruise) and got the OBC which we gladly spent, but...... Right now Our TA is in telephone tag with an upper level management member over this occurence of what she is calling misleading information. Also we were not able to apply our then Emerald discount, which our TA is now questioning and since we became diamond on that cruise and hopefully can get something. Here's hoping we get something...........if not...........we will survive. Sea Ya
