ggprincess2004 Posted August 31, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2015 (edited) I have not noticed that they were available anywhere on turn-around day. Normally, the muster drill takes place during "tea time". Edited August 31, 2015 by ggprincess2004
MustangGT Posted August 31, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 31, 2015 Does anyone know if the scones are available at HC or IC ??? I know there is not a formal Afternoon Tea... Thanks Ann Yes, we have seen scones in HC during Tea Time on other days but haven't gone to the HC on embarkation day. We avoid that zoo :D

shredie Posted August 31, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 31, 2015 I have only seen them in the DR during the tea service. I did see them at one time in the IC, but I can't remember when or which ship.
Thrak Posted August 31, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 31, 2015 I really don't think they do "tea" on embarkation day. We've only done it once and did the "real thing". It was nice. I think we will probably do it at least once and likely several times on our next cruise. Being Americans it's something different for us. The idea of afternoon tea somehow seems somewhat "civilized" if you know what I mean. :D
Colo Cruiser Posted August 31, 2015 #9 Share Posted August 31, 2015 I did see them at one time in the IC, but I can't remember when or which ship. Now that you mention it I have seen the cream and jam in the HC but have not noticed the scones. :(

Working 2 Cruise Posted August 31, 2015 #12 Share Posted August 31, 2015 oops I meant the afternoon YOU board NO... Embarkation day is the busiest day of the cruise and there's muster drill... you'll just have to wait until the next day.
skynight Posted August 31, 2015 #13 Share Posted August 31, 2015 Does anyone know if the scones are available at HC or IC ??? I know there is not a formal Afternoon Tea... Thanks Ann There is a formal afternoon tea mostly every day in the DR at 3:30 and they do serve scones. On the Royal a few times they also had what they spoke of as a Royal Tea. It included Champagne and had a cost of, I think, $10. They had it in a section of the Piazza
