beav2 Posted September 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2015 Would like to rent a car for 1 day from Fll and drop off in Mia for cruise out of the port of Miami. Do any car rental places have a shuttle to POM. I think that would be cheaper then a taxi. We are staying at a hotel with no shuttles, or would it be cheaper to take a taxi. Thanks for any info. Rare Essiesmom Posted September 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2015 Transportation from FLL hotel to POM is covered daily on the Florida Departures board, under North American Homeports. Also info about car rentals. EM
Mo69 Posted September 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2015 We drop off our rental car (ALAMO) at MIA Airport and take their shuttle service to POM
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2015 I would post this on the Florida Departures Board. Keith
Doggielover68 Posted September 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 22, 2015 (edited) We have booked Alamo in the past and take their shuttle over to the port. Both times we have booked the car within a month of the cruise sailing to get a good last minute deal ( $25 including tax/fees). Don't quote me on that because things may have changed since last year. Keep in mind that not all hotels in Miami offer free parking so check for that before you end up wasting your savings on hotel parking. Have a great trip! Rare FlyerTalker Posted September 22, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 22, 2015 Avis has a downtown Miami location that runs a shuttle to the Miami port. You can rent at FLL and dropoff downtown. Just be sure that when you book on the Avis website, you get the proper dropoff location and not the default of MIA airport.
