RJB Posted October 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2015 After reaching this Tier and booking a voyage where the tipping is included what will Oceania give you instead? Seems that they need to do something for their most important members. Does anyone know the answer? :):):)

Paulchili Posted October 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2015 AFAIK, the amount of OBC varies with cruise length - around $250 to $350. If one reached Silver (or higher) prior to 12/31/14, one gets full value of second PPG as OBC - can be a significant difference. In case of third PPG, that amount will be $250-$350 (even for those who became Silver before 12/31/14).

globevest Posted October 11, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 11, 2015 Paul, What if you became Silver after the end of 2014? Thanks.
Paulchili Posted October 11, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 11, 2015 Paul, What if you became Silver after the end of 2014? Thanks. Then you do not get the full value of your second PPG as OBC - only about $250 - $350 (depending on the length of the cruise).
Rare LHT28 Posted October 11, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) Paul, What if you became Silver after the end of 2014? Thanks. Not Paul but in May we had a $300 OBC + a $250 OBC per cabin one was in lieu of PPG for Silver status & the other was in lieu of the Free Gratuity promo for the cruise I cannot remember which was which it was a 16 night cruise Edited October 11, 2015 by LHT28

cbb Posted October 12, 2015 #12 Share Posted October 12, 2015 does one have to take the "free cruise" the year it was achieved? I would think there would be situations that it would be impossible for that to be the case.

sitraveler Posted October 12, 2015 #14 Share Posted October 12, 2015 Your free cruise is your 20th. We wanted a more expensive route than what would have been our 20th, so we wound up not taking a cruise or 2 to make it work that way. There are exemptions, i.e. Grand Voyages. Only 14 days are free, you pay for extra days.
