Thanks for the pictures of the construction in Tortola, Radio. I thought they were farther along in the construction process than they appear to be. I will be anxious to see it when it is finished.

Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well today. Hope you are feeling better soon, and able to enjoy the rest of your cruise.

Thank you for this. Is the $20 per person the same for adults and children? We have two little ones age 3 and 1. The thought of spending $80 for the four of us is a bit of a stretch.

I was in St. Thomas two weeks ago aboard the Carnival Liberty and for what it's worth, there were a bunch of taxi drivers offering to bring us up to a lookout similar to Paradise Point for a cheaper cost. This could definitely be an option for you.

Thanks for the interesting live review, really fun to follow. As a rum enthusiast, I have to comment on one error though. ;)

Pussers Outpost. . .Home of the Painkiller

Painkiller's home is not in Tortola but in Jost Van Dyke. Pusser's originally had nothing to do with the cocktail as the receipe was created before Pusser's brand even existed.

Only later Pusser's trademarked the cocktail as their signature drink changing original receipe's "premium dark rum" to specifically state Pusser's to be used.

Good Morning and Welcome to Day 6 of “LIVE” from Norwegian Getaway. I woke up this morning with a feeling that is new for this cruise. The seas are rolling considerably. It’s easy to walk around, but you can feel you body adjusting for balance. Not bad, but the whole cruise was so smooth and on Day 6 I will get my sea legs.

Today is activity central on Getaway, with dozens of things to do for all passengers. Activities include Glow Party, Battle of the Sexes, Splashtacular, Talent Shows, Masters of Magic. Plus there will be a lot of swimming tanning and sliding out on the pool decks. There are so many things to do, but I guess that is always the case for the last day at sea. Tomorrow is Nassau, bu tour cruise is almost over.

I had dinner last night at Teppanyaki, and it was very good. I liked the chefs jokes, and I know they use the same ones every time but the atmosphere was festive and the food was very good.

I was able to go to the Comedy Club last night as well. The shows were 45 min, with 2 comics. . .each did a 20min set. Very funny. I may try to catch on of the later shows tonight or tomorrow.

Here are some images from this morning, and a couple from yesterday I forgot to post.

Enjoying your review immensely! We will be calling "Getaway" our home in 9 days. How is the elevator traffic? My husband is in a wheelchair and although we love cruising, we seem to spend a lot of time waiting for rides. This will be our 1st time with NCL.

Thanks for your nice comments. . . The elevators are very busy during key times. . . bu tno more than other ships or cruise lines.

The "Elevator Combat Zone" is usually:

1. Embarkation Day and Debarkation Day

2. Dinner Times (especially 6 and 8PM)

3. Port days when passengers go down to the gangway.

4. Port days when passengers are coming back.

When I use the elevators other than these "Combat Zone Times" Thisngs are very quick and less crowded.

I wish I would have felt better and done a little more exploring. It turns out that I walked around town a little just to be close to the ship. We went to a craft market and Pusser’s Outpost downtown.

The craft market was quaint . . .about 30 vendors

RADIO, hope you're back to feeling tip top and ship shape!

How are you enjoying Haven amenities?

We're in an H5 below you on the 15th deck next weekend.

Been trying to determine the balcony size for weeks.

Can you peek over to see if they are large enough for a lounge chair? :D

Thanks. Great review. Do you have to book the Comedy Club. I will be on the Getaway in about 8 days. Yahoo.

You can make a reservation for the Comedy Club, but I did not. . . They allow passengers with no reservation 10 min prior to showtime.

Hello everyone. . . Just after the post this morning, Getaway traveled into some heavy rain showers that lasted about 4 hours. This cleared up by around 2PM, and it is now very sunny and windy. The Rope course and Free fall slide closed, but all the pools stayed open, and passengers are taking advantage of the sunny skies and warm temps (83F)

I watched a Culinary Demo this morning, and did a little Trivia (I think that Google should not be allowed in Trivia Games) Getaway Casino gave me a message today. . . . “Radio, you’re through” Ok, Ok, I get it. . . It was nice while it lasted. I still enjoy the Slots and Roulette, so I can make a few more visits.

The Haven Concierge had a meeting today with all Haven Guests about Saturday Debarkation and how the process works. . . Some passengers decided to complain about the Customs allowance process, but they’re complaining to the wrong person. US Customs decides allowances, not NCL.

We are scheduled to arrive in Nassau, BHS tomorrow at 12 Noon . . . we should be picking up the Pilot by about 11:45AM. I will get off of the Ship tomorrow, but I’m not sure what I will do. There are still things I want to do onboard, but a lot of what I’ll do will depend on the weather and how I’m feeling tomorrow afternoon.

Tonight I have a few things planned including dinner at Le Bistro, Levity Comedy at Headliners, and the Glow Party later tonight. I may need a rest after all of that.

Here are a few pics . . . Thanks for tuning in

Good Morning and Welcome to Day 7 of “LIVE” from Norwegian Getaway. I woke up very early today because I wanted to get going with a dynamic workout with the equipment in the Pulse Fitness Center and relax in Mandara Spa . . . and after a few minutes I woke up from my dream and made a few cups of delicious Lavazza Coffee.

I did walk around a bit to take a few photos of different places on board. Specifically, places I have never been to (Like the Gym and Mandara Spa). I think a ship like this requires more than 7 nights to experience all that Getaway has to offer. Maybe next time I will try Norwegian Escape (just launched) or Norwegian Bliss (not built yet) I think the best thing about Norwegian Getaway is the service I have received.

I was told that the best crew members are no longer here as they were sent to be part of the crew on Norwegian Escape (over 400 Crew members).

We are sailing at full speed (it seems) to our next port of call, Nassau in the Bahamas. The weather is warm with no rain, but there are a lot of clouds, and the hot sun however seems able to poke through on and off. I will get off of the sip because I want to take some more exterior shots, but I will not be going on an excursion. There is a lot to do in Nassau for first time cruisers and I am hearing about some exciting plans from fellow passengers. . .

Here are a few pics form this morning . . .
