What to do in Aruba for the day?

We have never been to Aruba before and I was wondering what is there to do there?, any tips/ideas??

 

What do you do when you go there?? :)

 

Can you snorkel there?

 

Any tips/advise/ideas are very welcome

Of course you can snorkel...either via a ship's excursion, a private company, or off the beach on your own. I would recommend a guidebook, so you can see where the best snorkeling site FOR YOU is...and there are tips about transportation, shopping, food/drink, other points of interest....a bit of research yields great results!

If you do a search, you will find good info on snorkeling. Our favorite spot is Catalina Cove/Boca Catalina. You can take a bus there (station across the street from the port) or a cab (not sure how much). Boca Catalina is an easy sand entry. The best snorkeling is to the north at Catalina Cove.

From the ship terminal you can walk along that side and it becomes a scenic walk and you will come to various areas including one with statues. On the other side of the street is a large mall and other shops and restaurants.

No. Not at all. They give you a lesson before you start. My husband drove and he said it was easy. No worries if your a little older too. :)

Lots of things to do in Aruba.

 

We've especially enjoyed going to De Palm Island on excursions booked thru the ship. :)
