Kiwi_cruiser Posted October 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2015 We have never been to Aruba before and I was wondering what is there to do there?, any tips/ideas?? What do you do when you go there?? :) Can you snorkel there? Any tips/advise/ideas are very welcome
cb at sea Posted October 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2015 Of course you can snorkel...either via a ship's excursion, a private company, or off the beach on your own. I would recommend a guidebook, so you can see where the best snorkeling site FOR YOU is...and there are tips about transportation, shopping, food/drink, other points of interest....a bit of research yields great results! mcmarya Posted October 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2015 If you do a search, you will find good info on snorkeling. Our favorite spot is Catalina Cove/Boca Catalina. You can take a bus there (station across the street from the port) or a cab (not sure how much). Boca Catalina is an easy sand entry. The best snorkeling is to the north at Catalina Cove. Rare Keith1010 Posted October 24, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2015 Just wondering if there is anyplace to go when u get off the ship within walking distance?:) From the ship terminal you can walk along that side and it becomes a scenic walk and you will come to various areas including one with statues. On the other side of the street is a large mall and other shops and restaurants. Keith

janetz Posted October 25, 2015 #9 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Are they hard to drive? Thanks No. Not at all. They give you a lesson before you start. My husband drove and he said it was easy. No worries if your a little older too. :)

OCruisers Posted October 26, 2015 #11 Share Posted October 26, 2015 Lots of things to do in Aruba. We've especially enjoyed going to De Palm Island on excursions booked thru the ship. :)
