Stu K Posted October 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Hi Guys looking for NYC tour suggestions for the day we leave Anthem Of The Seas next year. I guess RCI tour maybe best as we will have our luggage with us. Been around empire state building back in June 2001 but had limited time here. Would like to do Statue of liberty and also to pay our respects at ground zero last time in NYC the towers were still standing. Any suggestion's? Thanks In advance. Andee Posted October 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Schwartz (2 locations in Manhattan) offers luggage storage. Then you can use the subway to get around quickly and cheaply. Get timed tickets in advance for SOL from the official seller, statuecruises. Some people are satisfied to just see SOL from the free Staten Island ferry. Pleas use the term 9/11 Memorial, rather than Ground Zero.
George C Posted October 27, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Also get times tickets for 9/11 museum if interested, we found it very interesting
marco Posted October 30, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 30, 2015 The "Intrepid" (Air craft carrier) is just a couple of berths down from where you will dock, assuming you're docking in Manhattan. We found it very interesting, but definately, no matter what you do, check your luggage!

We found it very interesting, but definately, no matter what you do, check your luggage! The OP is arriving on the Anthem of the Seas, which docks in Bayonne, NJ. Your advice about checking luggage is absolutely correct. There are serious restrictions about what you can take to the SOL as well as onto the Intrepid. The 911 area probably has similar restrictions as well.
