sheba2008 Posted November 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2015 Leaving in 10 days for a fabelous cruise on the Serenade of the seas, it's been a long time since I sailed RCI so what has changed? Is there still soap, shampoo or anything else in the badroom? What about Ice in the Icebucket, is it standard or do I have to ask for ice. Maybe some othter things that I didn't think about. Please share it with me. Thanks for all the information that cruise critic members cruises give me. Greetings Linda:)
Clarea Posted November 2, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2015 The bathroom will have two bars of soap and a combo shampoo/conditioner dispenser in the shower. You have to ask for ice, but after you ask, they will fill the ice bucket twice a day without asking anymore.

If yes will I have to return them everyday to avoid costs or can I keep them in the cabin for another day? Thans

What I've seen most is that they don't swipe on sea days, bit will swipe on port days. You can keep the towels in the stateroom as long as you return them before the end of the cruise. knot knormal Posted November 3, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2015 We were on Serenade 2 weeks ago and we had shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash small containers on our bathroom counter, refreshed when we needed.
cb at sea Posted November 3, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2015 You can switch out your towels whenever you want...if they're in the cabin, the attendant will give you new ones most of the time...otherwise, just exchange for clean, dry one on the pool deck. PNW Traveler Posted November 3, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Yes, JS or upper level suites. Quality of product is not superior. We pack small versions of our favorites. The onboard perfume/cosmetics shop usually has boutique brand lotions if you don't mind the price.

garnetpalmetto Posted November 6, 2015 #12 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Is there shampoo in inside cabin? There is, but it's a 2-in-1 shampoo and liquid soap in a dispenser mounted inside the shower. If you have particularly thick/long hair it's not particularly good for washing your hair with (so says my wife, anyway).
Merion_Mom Posted November 6, 2015 #13 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Is there shampoo in inside cabin? If you are female, the answer is "no". ;) The good news is that even though there will be no little bottle of shampoo in your inside cabin, if you ask your cabin steward nicely, s/he will probably bring you one. :)
sjb317 Posted November 6, 2015 #14 Share Posted November 6, 2015 We had a great cruise on the Serenade TA from Denmark in August. Thought the food was good. The WJ had a crepe station each morning that was excellent, not sure if that is there for all cruises or was just for Europe. This is also the first cruise where I thought the Park Café was a good choice for breakfast, on other ships I've found the breakfast sandwiches to be dry but the ones on Serenade were quite tasty!:D I also really like the outdoor area behind WJ, it's a great place to have breakfast in the morning.
