How far out have you been able to use the Casino Rate?

I have been able to use the casino rate several times. I wanted to book a cruise in November or December of 2016. No promos are available.

I know they are not on every cruise ( I must be picking the wrong sail dates) and are capacity driven.

My question is am I trying to early or are am picking the wrong dates? I hate I can't check online for the rates anymore.

The latest I have a cruise booked with the casino rate is July 2016, anyone able to get the rate past July?

Thank you very much :-)

You would think that Princess would make it easy to find the rates. I gave up looking and went an booked a cruise in Oct. 2016. Guess what it was a casino rate. Must be the luck of the casino. If you find a way to see what cruises are on that rate please let everyone know.

Princess rep told us the casino rate is not good on 2017 cruises:(

Those reps say whatever pops into their heads at any given moment. She (?) probably had no idea and was too lazy to ask someone. (I do know there are some good ones, so no need to remind me.)

My understanding from my Princess rep is that a casino rate is capacity limited and not sent to everyone. No one know who or why some get it and some do not. I have met heavy gamblers who have never gotten the offer and others who gamble very little who have.

I changed my profile to say I had an interest in the casino and still have not received the rate. Even when you call in to a princess is your my princess does not have that offer code for you personally, co cannot get the rate.

I have a really ugly tale about the casino rate. Went to book my cruise for this Nov. 2015 and my agent said I got the casino rate. I told her I would get back to her with my fellow travellers (5 staterooms) within the half hour so she could book it. I got back to her as all are definitely going. But when she went to book it, the entire casino rate had disappeared. My agent contacted Princess and was told, but not in these word "tough luck".

Wrote to CEO of Princess and have NEVER received a reply.

I am elite and like I am reading on cruise critic quite a bit, it seems Princess has no respect nor time for us Elite passengers.

You have to call a Princess rep and they will look up your account and can tell you every sales event you are eligible for. Not only Casino, but what is available where you live and other special rates not advertised. They are also capacity controlled.

I had one that was emailed to me and when I called about four hours later is was already sold out. You need to follow up on emails quickly.

Are you able to book the casino rate for that many staterooms? I was under the impression that it was just for you? I might try to call in with a request for one stateroom and see if it is back. You may have already tried that... but it does make sense that it might not be for everyone but only those in your cabin.

The casino rate is for the holder of that rate only. The code is associated with your Captain's Circle number. Other passengers will have their own CC numbers and will not receive the rate unless they have it, too. Anyone who may have told you otherwise is mistaken. You hesitated, and when you called back, the allotted number of cabins eligible for the rate had been sold. (It's the old "snooze, lose" argument.) In addition to that, Princess is not the company giving out the discount. It's the casino management company, contracted by Princess, and the same company that manages casinos for several cruise lines. When you did not get a response from Princess, I suppose they thought it wasn't their problem. Yes, they work with the casino management people, but they have different accounting systems. The casino company sends Princess the difference in the fare that you don't pay, but Princess is still getting full price for their cabin. How does one get this rate? No one knows. Seriously. None of us who have it have any idea why. I guess the only thing we have in common is that we gambled once in a ship casino. I have wondered from time to time if it's having gambled on more than one line--Carnival and Princess, for instance. But I don't know if that's it, and I don't think anyone else does either. The bottom line is there is no way to apply for the rate, no one to ask, no list of things you need to do to have it offered to you.

The agent should have told Knickearth that information.

The agent should have offered to put a cabin forKnickearth on courtesy hold with the casino rate for an hour or two so Knickearth could make a decision.

The rep I spoke with yesterday regarding an Alaska cruise told me that the rate would apply to the "rate holder" and anyone booked in the same cabin. So if there are four in the cabin, all would get the percentage off. I found out that my husband has the casino rate but I do not (which is perfectly appropriate since I don't go to the casino, but he usually signs up for a blackjack tournament or two.) We are trying to figure out the most economical way to book five of us for Alaska.....

We both got the same email this morning. I just wish there was something in there that says what time period it covers. We currently have 3 cruises booked using the casino rate and hadn't planned on booking any more right now but I would hate to miss out on a good deal.

Same here.. Was wondering if they have Casino sailings for late 2016, early 2017. Maybe a call to Princess is in order.. :)

We got the email this morning too and it seems open ended. Interesting that it is applicable to cruise tours as well. The first one was cruise only. Still wish I could see the discounted rates on Princess.com! A thumbnail comparing old and new offers is attached.
