Do Princess have special offers on Hawaii cruises

I'm looking at a Hawaii cruise from San Francisco in April 2017. I've been watching the price and offers for a while but haven't seen anything for this one yet.

Do Princess ever have offers on these cruises? Is there a best time to buy? We don't usually get price drop guarantees in UK so want to book at the right time.

Best pricing is usually when bookings open. Often, pricing goes up but when there's a sale, it comes down but not as much as the original price. If you wait until final payment, you might get a good price but the cruises to Hawaii usually sell well.

Check to see if Hawaii cruises are on sale now for 2016 and that'll give you an indication of whether there might be a sale next year.

We booked Hawaii for Jan. 2013 in September. The list price for an inside was $1500 (with casino rate, paid $1300). There was a "3 for free" sale and we got a specialty dinner and prepaid gratuities with the booking.

The prices for 2016 & 2017 are in that same range. It looks like the prices are fairly steady (at least right now). If you book now, it would be a good price. If you wait, it could go up or be sold out.

The decision is yours.

It's a fantastic itinerary, have a great cruise:D

Hawaii cruise fares have gone up significantly because Princess has pretty much cut the availability by 50%. They use to run 2 ships to Hawaii every 15 days from both Los Angeles and San Francisco. If you look at this year, they have 1 ship a month out of each port. In December (you would think this would be a high demand month), only the Ruby is going to Hawaii during Christmas. The Grand will go to Mexico.

Because of low inventory, they were able to raise the prices by about 30%-50%.

For instance: I was watching cruises to Hawaii for November 2013. The previous season (2012), you could have booked an interior for $999.00. The best I could do (for 2013) was $1200.00 (plus or minus some change). The average for this season was $1500 (although there is a sailing for $1300 in January).

I just don't understand why Princess reduced their number of Hawaii sailings. They are very popular and sell well. A seasoned traveler once told me that they didn't make enough "revenue" on board because of "us" older passengers. I'm sure everyone has their take on this subject.

I am still waiting for the dream team to be reunited: ELUA and CD Dave Cole. No one knows who will be on the 2017 season. Their schedules will probably come out in late summer/September 2017. Makes it really hard to book a cruise in advance.

I can only speak to the prices for full suites because that is what we booked and I've been tracking. 2016 and 2017 Hawaii cruises are listed for the same prices as we originally were going to have to pay in 2015, before we got several price drops. So I don't think these prices are increasing, but maybe other categories are.

We went to Hawaii with Princess in February and being a UK cruiser we did not get any discounts at all , the cruise did not go down in price but we did have a small amount of OBC , they have reduced the number of ships going to Hawaii apparently so are normally full enough not to offer any good discounts , but being UK does seem to go against us a lot with the american ships and booking prices

We booked our interior cabin in April for our sailing on November 25. We paid $1350 per person and got $100 onboard credit from Princess plus another $185 from our travel agent. After the date for final payment, the price for our cabin dropped to $1,000 per person. I think it is currently being offered at $1249. Since we are not particular about our cabin, I'm thinking of booking our next cruise at the last minute.
