I don't know witch is worse - a tornado warning or a major gas leak. We have had a few tornados come down around our area.

We all got the call at 12:30 that a house down the street from us smelled gas. Within a few minutes 8 fire trucks from our 2 volunteer companies, 4 from a neighboring community volunteer company and 9 police cars were all over the place. Fortunately the gas leak was confined to only 1 house and their gas is now shut off. We all waited for the second call to tell us if we had to leave the area. Thankfully that didn't happen.

scary stuff, glad you ok.

Checking in. The weather in Ft Lauderdale is much nicer, here it's 0C and about 2" of wet snow and has been coming down all day.

Allan

Ugg!

At this moment it is not looking too bad in FLL but of course in 15 minutes there could be a downpour.

Was that the Conquest talking to the NA about timing being they are trapped.

That was Silhouette's OOW talking to EUDM's OOW; she's berthed at #25 while EUDM is behind her at #26. EUDM would prefer her to go first but she (Silhouette) is slated for 1630, 30 min after EUDM's scheduled departure, EUDM is bow in (facing south) down the ICW while Silhouette is facing north

We may be in luck. The front is well south of FLL and moving to the east. Of course they will be sailing into the mess...

I'll bet that is fun to back around another ship in the narrow river...

That was alarming, pleased that you did not have to leave the area.
