Port of Miami - Hotels?

I'll be cruising through Miami in January, and it's a port we've never gone through. Can anyone suggest a good hotel that will either have a shuttle to take us to the port, or where a cab ride to the port won't break the bank? Thank you!

Don't narrow your choices based on a shuttle.

 

These hotels are close to the port and the taxi fare around $10..00 to $15.00 depending on which one you take. Also taxi from airpot to the hotel around $20.00 to $25.00

Hampton Inn (includes breakfast)

Marriott Marquis

Holiday Inn Bayside

Hyatt

Marriott

 

There are more but this is a good start.

Comfort Suites Miami Airport North offers a shuttle from the airport as well as to the port. Both are free.

Nope - close to the MIA airport. The beach is in Miami Beach, about a $30+ cab ride away.

 

Flying into Miami (MIA)? :confused: Many choose to fly into Fort Lauderdale (FLL) because of cheaper flight options and then shuttle to POM.

 

What time of day do you arrive? :confused: Arriving late and just want dinner and a room - choose an airport hotel. Arriving earlier in the day and want to explore Miami/Miami beach? Stay downtown or in South Beach.

 

Most of the suggested hotels close to POM are located in downtown Miami - a $25+ cab ride from MIA and another $12+ cab ride will get you to the port in the morning.
