MisterFidgetpants Posted November 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 27, 2015 $349 for a 7 night sailing on NA $399 for an 8 night sailing on Eurodam. 11/29/15 $50 pp, per night. If anyone can take advantage book fast and get in the car! I'd do it but when I go to add a third person the rates go bonkers. Must be very limited inventory (double occupancy) remaining. Rare ski ww Posted November 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 27, 2015 If only we lived in Florida, we would be doing a lot more cruising. Oh well it's not to be. Allan
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 27, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2015 Sounds like a good deal. But we wouldn't be able to drive there in a couple of days. And at this late date -- there wouldn't be any seats left on the planes.

And at this late date -- there wouldn't be any seats left on the planes. Actually, I was just checking yesterday (we're on that cruise, and the weather forecast isn't great for Sunday) and there were loads of seats available from BWI to PBI as well as FLL for tomorrow. The Saturday after Thanksgiving is a low travel day, evidently.
janmcn Posted November 28, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) Yes, friends who live in Fort Lauderdale just got on this...an H category for the $349! They booked a "J" category guarantee yesterday. (Were notified today of their cabin.) When I looked on the HAL site, all I could find for them was OV for something like about $750/pp...so they called to gloat! Nice to be able to pick up those last minute deals (there were a number of mid-ship verandahs for less than $900/pp)... shall be interesting to hear back from them on their return! Great deal! EbayCruiser Posted November 28, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 28, 2015 That's a great deal! We are hoping for something similar to that on the Westerdam for 1/02/16 sailing. We cancelled last month because of an expensive charter we booked next August but we still have the airfare booked (SW) and will not cancel until the last minute and it will revert back to points with SW. If we can get a "cheapo" cruise, we are planning on rebooking.
FlorenceItaly Posted November 29, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 29, 2015 I am looking for a "fire sale" for Westerdam, Dec. 26, or Nieuw Amsterdam, Dec. 27. We get off a Celebrity cruise on the 26th, and I would love to jump on a HAL ship. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU. Marie Get yourselves a new email address and sign up for Holland America's mailing list. When you sign up, put in a Fort Lauderdale address and a ZIP code of 33316. Opt out of snail mail (postal) and in to email. You'll then have a profile that is in the same ZIP code as Port Everglades. You'll get all the last minute offers, probably for at least 6 months until they clean the marketing database. When you read the messages, it's best to have private browsing enabled. Otherwise, the system might tie your new email address to your real Holland America profile. If, at some point you tire of the emails, you can opt out. This should work with Holland America, Princess, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Seabourn, Silversea, and most anyone who sails from Port Everglades. Port Miami is 33132. The Fort Lauderdale ZIP will also get some last minute offers from Miami, but it depends on how tightly targeted the emails are. Do not use the same email address with both Miami & Fort Lauderdale. Since some of the cruise lines have the same parent company, there's a chance you'll get "cleaned" at the corporate level.

Rare POA1 Posted November 29, 2015 #11 Share Posted November 29, 2015 YOU are a GEM. Thank you so very much!! Marie You're welcome. We live in Fort Lauderdale, so I'm intimately familiar with all the crap... umm... valuable marketing information you get when your email address and cruise line profile match those criteria. :)
