Anyone win in casino ?

Do you think NCL is losing money in the casinos? How much did others have to lose to allow others to win? If you win over $1,200 as a US citizen it must be reported as income and the losses can be taken as an itemized deduction up to the winnings. So if one does not itemize deductions but spent $1,500 to win $1,200, not only did you actually lose $300, but you paid tax on $1,200. Not much of a win.

I hit for $8000 on Ultimate Texas Hold Em in mid November on the Jade [emoji4] no taxes on table games...just slots

No taxes withheld on table games. The IRS still expects Americans to report their winnings as income on their tax returns, whether or not it was earned in U.S. jurisdiction. This includes slots, bingo and the Deal or No Deal game on board.

On our last cruise, we saw someone hit for $15,000 (give or take some change) on a penny slot machine. It was the last night.

Two years ago on the Epic, my parents won a combined $8,000 in jackpots all on video poker (they generally play quarter machines, though sometimes my Dad will play 50 cent machines). They played mostly at the bar near the elevators -- non-smoking machines.

100% WONG. ALL gambling winnings are taxable in the USA. This includes anything won in a casino, any lottery winnings, and any other gambling winnings of ANY amount.
