Just booked last minute on Connie. First Celebrity cruise and very excited-based on all we have read and heard, we are hopeful X will fit us well. We do enjoy specialty restaurants on other ships. Ocean Liners looks and sounds like a worthwhile trip. Thoughts?

We ate in Ocean Liners twice on our 5 day last March. The food was great, but the service was very slow. As a result, it took 3 hours to eat and we missed the shows both nights. It was not crowded either night. We did not have to pay as they were building Luminae and all suites had free specialty dining. We ate once at Tuscan Grill and were very disappointed in food and service. It was also very noisy, nothing like Tuscan on Silly and Equinox. We ended up the last two nights in Blu. If you do have to pay for Ocean Liners, wait for some kind of two for one offer.

Ocean Liners is my favorite specialty restaurant in the X fleet. I never miss eating there at least once, regardless of having access to Blu or Luminae. The service has always been great, the ambiance can't be beat, and though we are pretty much used to the same entrees, the food has been excellent

We enjoyed Ocean Liner's so much, we went back again for the last night of our cruise. Food was great. We didn't have to pay, but if you're looking for a special dining experience I think you'll enjoy it. As others have pointed out, this is not fast-food. Prepare to spend some time there.

We'll be sailing on Connie in March, our first time with X. I've been looking into both Ocean Liners and the Tuscan Grill. Leaning toward OL, as it looks like a completely different experience than any specialty restaurant we've been to on RC.

Are there any current menus available online for Ocean Liners?

It's about 3 years since we were on Connie but we much prefer Ocean Liners to Murano elsewhere. The food is(was) good, the service is excellent and if you go back a few times they'll knock up something different for you, very much like QG on Cunard. The decor is better too - you aren't looking out of a window at a lifeboat like Murano on Solstice class. There's also a small side room where a larger party can do their own thing.

Make sure your eyes aren't bigger than your belly though. We saw a table fo six have a meaty main course and (one of them having expressed a wonder at what the lobster was like,) out came a plateful of lobster for all but one. This was followed by multiple attacks on the desert menu.

We had the special sea day lunches at Tuscan and Ocean Liners...last Jan/Connie

We loved the service, menu, food and location of Tuscan....children and babies were admitted for lunch...some are angels, some quite fussy but staff did a good job providing an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Ocean Liners was Ok but fell short...slow service, perhaps due to fewer courses at lunch...food was excellent but not worth a trip back for dinner.

Lunch special was a good way to go at a reduced priced...and avoid the buffet,,,

Unfortunately when we tried OC on the Constellation in May the service was awful and the place was only 1/2 full.

Can't really comment on the food as we only got our appetizer and 1 glass of wine. After sitting for 40 minutes with the dirty appetizer plates in front of us with no entree in sight & no wine service we left. Yes we flagged down a waiter, twice, who said it's coming. It didn't! A couple at an nearby table had a bit better experience they got their appe & entree but never got their wine & they to sat with dirty plates for quite awhile- they left also.

On the other hand we had a wonderful meal in Tuscan with very good service and that restaurant was full.
