Does the MC concierge still contact guests before embarkation?

 

Will be aboard Silhouette on Sunday and have a request.

There is a shore side concierge that contacts suite guests. I read on here that it is only CS & above that get contacted, even though SS now have MC access.

I've received generic celebrity emails & in a RS - but not one from a shore side concierge. How would I differentiate between the emails?

The ones I received were from "ConciergeShirley@celebrity.com" I presume that there will be several shoreside concierges so the "Shirley " bit may change. We were contacted 14 days before the cruise.

Flavia is also a shoreside concierge for MC on Silhouette.

You can differentiate from other generic emails easily with the title "Concierge" in the header.

Tanji was the shore side concierge for Summit in September. Shirley works with Eclipse.

You might be able to call the Captains Club to find out who works with Reflection. I've gotten this info from them.

We are 5 days out and no contact.

We sail on the Solstice on the 5th of Jan.

 

We were contacted by "Liz" on the 15th of December, very pleasant email asking about arrival times, flights, preferred departure time, special requests etc.

 

Asked us to choose the 2 bottles of spirits we would like in our stateroom, and listed a large number of beers and soft drinks to choose from to stock the mini bar, and although there was no cider listed she has managed to find some for me.......

 

Although it appears to be a bit hit and miss, it is a nice service when it happens.

I don't think you will hear from the onboard concierge. The shoreside ones are to take some of the burden off them to let them look after guests currently on ships.

"Jolie" is actually spelled Jole and is pronounced "Yola".

She is wonderful. :)

I keep reading in various articles that Sky Suite guests will now have access to Michaels, does anyone know if this also applies to the transatlantic cruises on Silhouette? Are there any other changes for SS's?

SS guests would have access to Michaels Club on TA cruises. One change in a SS & CS is the elimination of free specialty dining for cruises booked 1/1/16 and later, it was replaced by 2 bottles of water on embarkation. :rolleyes:
