I'm keeping things very simple. Not bringing much extra except for sand ceremony jar/sand and if I bring my own flowers. Perhaps gift bags for guests or do room delivery from onboard gift shop. I'm doing Grand Turk too Nickaf. Can you show your finished bouquet when done? What other options did you choose there?

Yes, I definitely will post pictures of it! We are getting married on Carnival Splendor while docked at Grand Turk. Our reception will be in the nightclub because we requested the dj. We decided on the hour long Time to Celebrate with the hor deourvs and open bar, not the luncheon. Since it's the second day of the cruise, we have the remaining 5 days to continue celebrating. I didn't pick any extra decorations or ceremonies; we wanted to keep it simple so we have time to spend with family and friends.

I may splurge for the arch and some little extras. Not much. This is our second wedding for both so we are just enjoying having our kids and some family and friends join us. We didn't do the reception on board because we figured that they could all celebrate throughout the cruise with us. Easy peasy!

Celebrating Big on Carnival Sunshine out of Charleston in November 2017, Just booked yesterday. We are in the wedding industry at home providing DJ and Wedding Entertainment along with Day of Event Director. Its going to be so nice for me NOT to have to do a lot of planning. I'm sure our biggest decisions will be the music. Anxiously waiting for my wedding package to be emailed.

I'm so excited I came across this website. I have cruised 3 times so far, and will be getting married on my 4th cruise on May 5th, 2017 on Carnival Inspiration.

I booked the DJ, so does this mean my reception will be in the club? I'm so curious to know where my ceremony and reception will be. It's not like me (the control freak) to be ok with being in the dark about my wedding location. lol

Yes, I believe it will be. I also booked the DJ for my carnival wedding in Feb and they told me my reception would definitely be in the club

Good Morning,

My name is Jamie. I joined the site a few weeks ago and have been doing a lot of reading on choices other brides have made, their recommendations and things they would change. Originally my plan was to get married on the carnival splendor July 30, 2017 but I am not thinking of switching it up to a beach wedding in Ft Lauderdale the night before the cruise sails and maybe just the reception on the boat. Any suggestions of helpful hints from everyone is def appreciated. Congratulations to everyone.

Thank you! This helps a lot.

As a cake decorator, I would suggest going with a 6 inch topper just in case because that is the most common. Even if it ends being an 8 inch, it will still look good.

So me and my fiance have to get married prior to sailing, he has a family member who is sick and very important to us who needs to be there when we get married.... Also for other personal reasons... So the plan was to do a vow renewal... So I called carnival assuming I could bring my marriage certificate when we get on board.... Nope they need it when you book. My other option is to basically pay 2,000 dollars for the same thing, and then still have to send them a marriage certificate a month before the sailing.... I just needed to vent

I am getting married on the Paradise out of Tampa March 18th, 2017 on a 5 day cruise to Cozumel and Isla Roatan (it was Grand Cayman but they changed the itinerary a few weeks ago). We've already got our bridesmaid dresses, my dress, and the groom's/groomsmen's suits. We skipped STDs and just did a Facebook group with formal invitations to go out in a few months. I also booked a DJ and requested to NOT be in the dance club because it is leopard/zebra print. We did a tour of the ship before booking and found it was hideous! We have requested the Leonardo Lounge for the reception and the Normandie Lounge for the ceremony. Our wedding coordinator said she will do her best to honor our requests. She even told me that a lot of brides request to not be in the dance club and wishes Carnival would change it because even she thinks it is ugly.

Really excited for my wedding and extremely excited that I don't have to actually plan much. I think I'm going to keep it simple by just having favors for the guests and letting Carnival do the flowers/cake/decorations. The only thing I am worried about is finding someone to do my hair and makeup!

Congrats New Brides! I suggest doing a ship tour to get a visual. If you contact the cruise wedding specialist they can assist with booking that for you.

We toured the Valor and got to watch a wonderful wedding! It was great to get to see how it all plays out.

Are we allowed to take photos on the tour? Does anyone have photos/video of the Carnival Vista? I know there is a youtube video of the ship.

Hello everyone!

August 20, 2017 wedding aboard the Dream here.

We're already married (3 years) but didn't get to have the big wedding. I'm so excited for it to finally be happening! We'll be cruising to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. Our wedding will be on board at our embarkation (New Orleans).

So far we have 18 who are going to sail with us.

I haven't decided on the exact dress but it will be traditional. I went dress shopping for the first time last week and will be going next weekend to Kleinfelds so I'm excited about that. :D

I'm also planning on doing decorations for the venues but it will be minimal, especially at the ceremony site Two70 which is beautiful and doesn't really need anything.

Right now I'm working on the STD's. I'm making luggage tags based off an idea another bride on these boards had. Hopefully they'll be done this weekend and I'll be able to share pics. :D

I think we have pretty much selected the additional options we want to add to the reception. Royal doesn't really give you much with their included wedding package unlike Carnival so it seems like everything is an added cost.

Talked to our travel agent today and because we booked as a group we get to pick a gift for in each room for our guests (varies per trip). We decided to pick a $50 on board credit and a bottle of champagne and chocolates for each room. They'll be a great addition to the little welcome bags we're putting in each room and it didn't cost us anything extra! If you have a group traveling with you, definitely check into this.

We just got our Save the Dates! 04/21/2017 on the Carnival Victory!

These look great. :D I'm almost finished with mine, the design is done and printed but I need to actually assemble them. It's actually turning into more work than expected so I'm definitely going to order invitations.

I said Yes to the Dress yesterday! :D So happy. I went to stores in NYC & throughout NJ and each time thought I'd just end up settling for something that was ok (although Kleinfeld's had a very nice one that I almost went with). In the end though, this little boutique near me had the perfect dress for me. Sooo happy. :D
