Carnival $5 per day social media pkge question?

So are both you and your husband able to use the $5 per day social media like Facebook on their own tablets for $5 per day? If you have used it, how did it work for you?

Yes, you can both use it, but only one at a time (as in, you can only have one device connected at a time). We used it on the Paradise (well, DH did) and it worked just fine. You can even iMessage with it, so we had contact back home :)

Yes, DH posted quite a lot to FB. You can iMessage only (that means that both persons must have iMessage for that to work ... we couldn't message our son who uses an android).

Yes, you can both purchase it. I got the high speed package on our cruise the first week of November, as I needed to be able to connect occasionally to work. We had no problems using it, and it was very reliable.

And you can make facebook phone calls. Calls were amazingly crystal clear even from our cabin.

You should also be able to use Facebook Messenger for those who use android.

Just got off Triumph this week. I purchased the mid-level value package and another in our party purchased the social package. Neither one of us were ever able to get iMessage to work. When you sign up, the webpage says that iMessage is not supported on any of the three plans. GS told us that it usually works but is not guaranteed. It never worked for us. Facebook Messenger worked as did WhatsAp and snapchat.

Definitely worth it, especially since we all have iPhones so we were able to text through out the cruise. Not just amongst our group, but also with friends and family back home with iPhones. Like I said, definitely worth the $25 for the week.
